Hi

I have translated all the website (hidden link) using partially automatic translation and then translating myself. All otherwise seems to work fine, but I find single pieces of visible text here and there that cannot be translated - neither in strings no by any other means. For the most of it we are talking about text fields in otherwise fully translated plugins, where we have put text in the plugins available fields, for example "Tilmeld dig ventelisten" for what text should appear to make customers sign up for the wail list. We are talking about different plugins, as well as a few lines of text that are controlled by the theme. Do we skip a step or how can we translate? I have uploaded an example, where both the text filed and the button are translated, however, the encircled lines are still not translated. All coming from the same plugin.
Last but not least, we experience some broken links. When clicking on "Tilmeld dig ventelisten" (Join the wait list) link in product list pages, it is an empty link. We have synced all links on the site.

What to do?

Kind regards
Diana

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

1) First of all, sorry for the late reply due to a higher workload. Please try the following steps:

1- Go to WPML-> Theme and plugins localization, select your theme/plugin, and scan
2- Go to WPML-> String Translation
3- Scroll down and click on the "Translate texts in admin screens »" link
4- Search for the needed strings
5- Select the strings
6- Click on the "Add to String Translation" button
7- Then click on the "« Return to String Translation" link
8- Translate the strings, clear the cache, and check the front end

Kindly check our guide to know more about translating texts in the admin texts screen. (https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/)

2) Could you please share your Debug information with me?
You can read a detailed explanation about it here. (http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support)
The debug info will give me a lot of information about how your site is configured.

Best regards,
Osama

Thank you for the reply. It worked for most of the strings but there is right now the one string in Cart, coming from YITH Dynamic Pricing and Discount that cannot be translated. Is there an even deeper way to scan the website for strings or something I can do? I have already scanned for strings with the option that registers visible strings when pages are loaded. Quite funny, the string contains an amount in DKK. When looking at the page in DE, you see the amount being translated correctly, though the line itself is still in Danish. Is there something one can do or is it maybe a good idea to contact the plugin developers if this is some sort of glitch?

Hi Diana,

Please let me know where to check this string on the front end and how it's added to the page.

Best regards,

Sure. If you want, you can see it by yourself going to hidden link and adding stuff to cart that amounts to under 1000 DKK or 140 EUR.

I attach here images of where the string is added in the plugin, as well as images showing the issue - one in Danish and one in German.

Hi,

If you couldn't find this string in String Translation, I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
