This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You have auto-translated your website and published it. After having the translations proofread and corrected by a friend, the updates are not reflecting on the front end, even though they appear correctly in the WPML Translation Editor.
Solution:
This issue might be related to an Elementor caching problem. We recommend trying the following steps:
1. Visit the errata page for a known issue with Elementor at https://wpml.org/errata/elementor-translated-pages-show-stale-content-after-being-updated/ and apply the suggested workaround.
2. If the problem persists, follow these steps:
- Open the default language page in Edit mode.
- Make a minor change (e.g., add a space or a '+' sign) in your page/post title.
- Update the page by pressing the “Update” button.
- Remove the change made in the previous step.
- Update the page again.
- Open the translated page in WPML Translation Editor, ensure the translation is 100% complete, and press the 'Complete Translation' button.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, the solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.
