This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was experiencing issues with translating edited texts to Finnish using WPML. The translations were not updating, and instead, it duplicated the English content. Additionally, credits were deducted without successful translations, and there were complications with the homepage after attempting to re-add the Finnish version. Solution: We first verified the translation status by checking the client's pages and found that some contents were not fully translated. We advised the client to ensure all contents are translated and to click "Complete Translations" to reflect changes on the frontend. We also ran automatic translation on the homepage to confirm functionality. After identifying issues with our Advanced Translation Editor, we escalated the matter to our 2nd Tier Support, who resolved the issues. We confirmed that automatic translation was functioning correctly and refunded the credits for the failed translations as shown in the Automatic translation usage reports.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate edited texts of my website to Finnish using WPML, but nothing is happening. I added a string manually, but it just duplicated the English content and substituted credits from me. The site I need help with is hidden link.
Symptoms:
WPML is not translating the edited texts to Finnish and is duplicating the English content instead if translating block by block
Questions:
Are alt tags also translated with WPML and how do I do that? I don't see them appear in content for translation.
No what you see is the old content, i have updated the texts in english (a lot) and added, meta descriptions, title, ect.
The current situation is i lost credits and my content is not updating, I tried a lot of things, but:
1. manual addition of singular boxes for translations doesnt translate autamatically, it deducts my credits but translations dont appear.
2. Automatic translation of everything doesnt work and doesnt deduct credits
3. I lauched translation through translation management, but my credits were deducted and its saying translation in progress since yesterday morning
My updated content is not translated and credits were deducted. Before everything was working good.
Also what i tried is i removed the homepage of the finnish version to try add it again from scratch, but it just messed up the whole website and even the enlish homepage got replaced with a blog page...
I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
I've checked this page hidden link and the contents are not fully translated as shown in this screen recording hidden link . You need to translate all the contents and click "Complete Translations" before the translations will show up on the frontend.
yes i completely understand this, please check my first 2 messages with the description of the problem. My issue is that i cant do it and it deducts my credits but doesnt translate
I can see the issue now. Please allow me to escalate this to our 2nd Tier Support for further investigation. I will come back to you once I've feedback.
There were some issues with our Advanced Translation Editor and it's all fixed now. If you refer to the Automatic translation usage reports, we have refunded the credits back to you for failed translations. (the ones that shows negative values in the CSV report)
