Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and trying to add translations for images using WPML. I have activated WPML Media Translation and set it up according to the WPML documentation. Most pages, posts, and CPT posts have been translated using the WordPress editor instead of the WPML editor due to other reasons. Images are mostly added via ACF fields.
Symptoms:
After setting up WPML Media Translation, all images disappeared from translations, both on the frontend and the backend. Running the translation for existing media via WPML > Settings > Media Translation > Start multiple times did not resolve the issue.
Hi,
because we have a very tight deadline (go live next wednesday), and we need to work on the site this weekend, we decided to restore a backup and leave WPML Media Translation aside for now.
I will set up a staging site next week, then set up WPML Media there. Can you keep the ticket open until then?

It looks like the images are being added using a custom field type called Image Aspect Ratio Crop, rather than standard image fields. Can you confirm this?
Since this field type isn’t a native part of ACF, it’s possible that ACFML or Media Translation isn’t recognizing or handling it as expected.
Could you clarify a few details about this custom field type? Understanding how it’s set up will help us determine the best way to address the issue.
