Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the ATE editor to save translations efficiently. Previously, using the save button and the cntrl+enter button was smooth, and the editor would automatically move to the next content after saving. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link
Symptoms:
The ATE editor now takes too much time to select and save each selection individually, and it does not automatically move to the next content after saving.
Questions:
Has the ATE editor undergone any new updates?
Why does it take too much time to select and save each selection individually?
Why does the selection not automatically move to the next one after saving?
When all segments have been translated, a tooltip appears on the "Complete Translation" button while trying to move to the next segment, indicating that you can finalize the translation. This behavior is intentional and requested.
Please check the video above. This is how the new editor functions currently. However, in the previous version, when we saved a segment, it automatically moved to the next one without requiring manual selection at the end of each segment. The old editor still works this way, so for now, the best solution is to revert to the previous version for a seamless experience.
Would it be possible for your team to implement the old automatic selection behavior in the new editor? We hope this can be included in a future update so we can fully utilize the latest version. 😊
As I mentioned in my previous response, this change was implemented intentionally. Currently, if there’s an empty segment that requires translation, the system will move to the next segment. However, if all segments are translated, it will not proceed further and will instead display a message prompting the completion of translations.
That said, I’ve shared your feedback with our developers, and they’ve taken note of it. Any changes to this feature will depend on several factors, but for now, I’m sorry to inform you that it’s not possible.
