since the new update from WPML the editor doesn't always work. Suppose for example I want to do 2 pages 'edit translation'. Then it loads one and not the other one. It happens al the time now , so i cant work properly.

Hi there,

I have an answer from the second tier support. It seems that there is content causing the regular expressions of the Advanced Translation Editor to break. The second-tier suggested the two steps below:

1. Duplicate content and see if it works.

Use the Yoast Post Duplicate plugin to duplicate the page in question and see if it works.

2. Remove the content paragraph per paragraph

- Use the Yoast Post Duplicate plugin to copy the page.
- Remove the content from top to bottom in the original language on the copied page.
- After the first paragraph is removed, click update and check if Advanced Translation Editor works.
- Continue the process to find out which paragraph is causing the issue.
- Get back to us with the page and the paragraph so we can check.

You are suggestion 'the page in question'. It is 90% of the pages having this problem. So do i need to check every page? That will take probably hours.

There should be a special character causing the issue, so if you can pinpoint which content it is we will inform our development team.

So testing this on one page will help us pinpoint the issue to be able to fix the code on the Advanced Translation Editor side.
