This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was experiencing issues with WPML's automatic translation where the translation status keeps refreshing and the progress bar rotates continuously. The translation still doesn't appear, and not all language flags are visible for editing on the post.
Solution:
We recommend you try the following steps:
1. Ensure you have a full backup of your site and database.
2. Navigate to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting and click on "Synchronize local job ids with ATE jobs".
3. Go to WPML > Translation Management and resend the page to translation.

If this solution doesn't look relevant to your situation, please open a new support ticket with us.

Hi. Normally I go to WPML translation manager --> check --> Automatic translation and then the content will be translated but not yet published. But if I then go to the original then I can see the other flags in the top right of the screen (see picture), and if I click on them then I can edit and publish it.

But that does not work anymore. When I translate with translation management, it says refresh translation status all the time and the bar rotates (second picture. I had this problem before. Then I had to go to the post --> put V2 behind the title --> then remove V2 and then the bar would no longer rotate.

Well that works, then the bar no longer spins around, but the it ended up not being translated.

Because then when I go to a post, not all the countries are there on the top right, and so I can't edit it. See third picture.

Can you guys help me?

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum.
Quick question, does it happen with one specific post or all posts?

Let's try the following procedure:
- Make a full back up of your site and database
- GO to "WPML > Support > Troubleshooting (link)"
- On the next page click on "Synchronize local job ids with ATE jobs"
- Then in "WPML > Translation Management" resend that page to translation

Does it solves the issue? If not, I'd like to request a temporary admin access – preferably to a test site where the issue has been replicated – so I can further investigate. I will activate a private field for your next answer where you can provide that information safely (this field is only visible by you and the support team). Don't share your own admin account, create a new one that you will delete when we finish troubleshooting.

IMPORTANT: Before we proceed, please backup your site and database.
