Tell us what you are trying to do? I have done this numerous times in the past few years without hitting this issue. Usually it just asks me if this is a copy of the site. Now I get a message 'This site has moved to a new location.' I am using a WPML key specific to this dev instance that is stored in the wp-config.php for each of my sites: https://wpml.org/account/sites. I am not using dynamic WP_HOME and WP_SITEURL are not being used (commented out) in wp-config. Is there any documentation that you are following? Plus, I've looked at a number of issues title 'This site has moved...' that deal with making a copy of one's production site for development or staging. What is the link to your site? Here's what I've done: On other tries, I have removed the key, re-registered the site, and updated wp-config with new key. I also tried commenting out the wpml site key and re-registering the site. Nothing has worked thus far, I just keep seeing that message. |

I have updated WPML to 4.6.5 and to 3.2.7 for string translation and I am still having the same issue on dev.justassociates.org. |

Hello, My apologies for the delay in answering, as we are currently handling a high demand of support requests. Now, this kind of issue is new for me too. What is kind of odd, is that your production site is twice registered on our system: 529563 charlottaB hidden link 2021-10-29 This means there might be two different site keys registered for the same site. Does the WPML user "robbieM" work with you? If so, please ask him to remove the site registration from his account. If you do not know this user, then please let me know, so that I follow up about this with our systems team. Further, can you not simply complete the banner by clicking "Indicate that this site should be at..:" and then proceed using WPML? Best regards |

Thank you for your assistance. 1. In my initial post, my domain is being displayed to the public and has not been replaced with 'hidden link'. I assume this is because I did not include 'https:' as a prefix to the domains. I cannot edit my first post to correct this. Is there anything you can do so that my domain is not shown to the public? 2. I have written to robbieM and asked that they remove their registration of the site since we are using the one registered to our account. 3. I tried clicking the "Indicate that this site should be at..." link and it changed the registration for hidden link to a production development; as if I had actually moved my site dev. I viewed my WPML account/sites and saw the change as well. So I went to the production site, got the same banner, and clicked it again. That link does not resolve the issue. 4. What did resolve the issue for me was a response that occurred shortly after I posted my issue (https://wpml.org/forums/topic/this-site-has-moved-to-a-new-location-8/) which referred me to this post (https://wpml.org/forums/topic/separate-a-multisite/#post-14128971). Basically, I had to disable the Advanced Translator Editor (ATE), remove some options from wp_options, including 'otgs_wpml_tm_ate_cloned_site_lock'. This removed the banner and allowed me to use translation on the dev instance. Fortunately, I don't use ATE so I also made that change on the production instance and now I no longer run into that issue when I'm loading the production db into a development instance. I'll let you know when I hear back from robbieM regarding item 2. Meanwhile if you can sort item 1, I'd appreciate it. |
