I am trying to: translate an existing form I had on the site before I installed WPML...

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: The form can be seen here, hidden link

I expected to see: The issue is that when I edit my form FR, I want to send to translations but there is nothing to translate, so button even not there....

Instead, I got: no option to translate

Hi there,

Would you please double-check if you followed the steps correctly according to the documentation below?

https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/gravity-forms-multilingual/

Also as you mentioned there is no item to translate it might be a lack of PHP memory limit to be able to extract the content for translation.

The minimum requirement is 128M but I suggest that you increase it to 512M: https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/

You can add this by adding the code below to "wp-config.php" file of your WordPress installation root folder:

/** Memory Limit */
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

Please add the code above the line below:

/* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

If the problem persists, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

And please tell me which form to check.

Thanks.

Hi Christopher,
Thank you so much for your reply! It helped!
So I have increased the limit to 512 and now I can see the settings are taking that into account. I found also one issue, as the form was created, I could not use WPML to translate...
So I have duplicated the form, and as a new form, I got the option to translate.

One issue though that requires your help. There is a label in GF for fields that are mandatory...it is Champs obligatoire in french. Can’t find the string either...
Can you help for that?
Thx,
Pierre

Hi Pierre,

Would you please use this method to search and see if you can register that option to the string translation?

https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#translate-admin-and-settings-strings

If it is not working yet, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Also please tell us which form to check and which label.

Thanks,
