[Resolved] Issue Activating OTGS Installer & Installing Media Translation
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was unable to download or activate the WPML Media Translation plugin after activating the OTGS Installer on a development site. Solution: We advised the client that the OTGS Installer is only necessary for the initial setup and can be removed if WPML plugins are already installed. To install the WPML Media addon, the client should navigate to Plugins > Add new > Commercial tab, locate the WPML Media addon, and click to download.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and need to deactivate all WPML-related plugins before activating the OTGS Installer. After activation, I am trying to install WPML Media Translation.
Symptoms:
WPML Media Translation won't download or activate properly.
Questions:
Could you help me resolve the issue with activating OTGS Installer and installing WPML Media Translation?
While you wait for my colleague to take over the ticket, let me try to help you with the issue quickly.
OTGS installer is meant only for the first setup on your website, afterwards, you can not activate it if you already have WPML plugins. In that case,e you are free to remove this plugin.
To install the WPML Media addon go to Plugins > Add new > Commercial tab, find WPML media addon, and click to download.
Thanks for finding the "installation guide". However, the issue still persists.
When I try to install WPML Media Translation, nothing happens. I briefly see a green notification in the bottom right saying "Completed" (or something similar), but the plugin is not installed or activated.
Could you assist me in troubleshooting this? I can give you access to a Sandbox-installation.
Tried it on the LIVE-site now and there it works but it says "Setup required" so I will follow your support guide and inactivate all plugins and try to do the setup after that.
I successfully installed WPML Media Translation, but I have a related follow-up question:
If I add a button with a link to a PDF on the English version of my site and then translate that PDF to another version for a different language, the button still points to the original (EN) PDF instead of the translated one. The link does not update automatically when switching languages.
Is this expected behavior, or is there a setting that ensures the button dynamically links to the translated PDF?
Thanks for your help!

I am happy to hear you could resolve the issue mentioned initially in the ticket.
Also, regarding the new issue you mentioned in the last reply, please note that, per our Support Policy, we can handle only one problem per ticket.
Continuing with one issue per ticket helps supporters focus on one problem at once and enables other users to find solutions to their questions faster.
In this case, the link was set up via an ACF field on the product page, and a dynamic block was handling the output. I changed the ACF mode to "Different fields across languages", allowing me to manually edit the link per language.
The only downside is that this breaks the WPML Translation Editor mode, meaning I now have to update text manually for this product.
Is there any workaround to restore the product back to WPML Editor mode, or am I permanently stuck in manual translation for this product now?
