Hello,

We're trying setup a user role where they can be able to add translation in a specific language but they should not be able to access the primary language.

For example, if User A who has an "Editor" role is assigned to translate Spanish language then User A can add translation but should not be able to Edit/Access the English language since this is the primary language.

We are aware that we can assign designated user to a specific language in the Translator Management but this setting still allow users to view/edit the primary language.

Is there a way we can set this limitation on WPML plugin?

Hello,

I would suggest you give the user a different user role.

Editor by default can edit original content, this is not WPML related.

I suggest you create users as Subscribers and assign them as translators.

Those translators will then be able to only access jobs at WPML > Translations, nothing else.

This further requires that a Translation Manager makes jobs available for those translators.

Best regards
Andreas
