This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was trying to synchronize the menu for pages that were moved, aiming to have the same menu in Swedish and German as in English. However, the menu sync did not work, resulting in pages being missing or not under the correct parent page.
Solution:
We checked the client's website and both the original and translated URLs appeared to be working correctly. We advised the client that the menu sync feature tends to work best with simple navigation structures. For menus with many child items or custom configurations, we recommend translating them manually to ensure accuracy and prevent future issues. Additionally, we provided a link to our documentation on translating menus for further guidance: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Thank you for reaching out to WPML support. While one of my colleagues picks up this ticket, I’d like to provide some initial debugging steps and see if I can assist you right away.

I’ve checked your website and compared both URLs:

They both appear to be working correctly on my end.

Could you please provide more details about the issue you’re experiencing? A screenshot or screen recording would be very helpful.

Additionally, you can refer to the different methods for translating menus outlined here:

Let us know, and we’ll be happy to assist you further.

Hi Kor,

we managed to solve the issue manually (by going into the Swedish and German translations and selecting the correct parent page).

But we wanted to do two things:

1. notify you about the issue so you are aware
2. ensure that this manual correction will not cause problems in the future

Many thanks!

Thanks for your reply. The menu sync feature only works reliably with simple navigation structures. If your menu contains many child items or custom configurations, we recommend translating it manually for the best results. Also, this will not cause problems in the future.

Many thanks for the reassurance, dear Kor, this is very good to know! Potential problems in the future were our main concern.

Greetings to Singapore - we've been there some years ago, and we loved every minute of it!
