This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client restored a backup of a development site, and subsequently, the WPML's Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) began to malfunction. Initially, it worked briefly after clearing caches and re-adding the WPML site key, but then it failed with an 'AMS Server Communication - API error missing resource: No sitekey found for this website' error. Additionally, on some pages, the ATE does not load, and on others, it loads but does not complete the translation, showing a 'Service Unavailable' error.
Solution:
We recommend the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Update the original page and save your changes.
2. Navigate to the WPML translation editor and check if the issue persists.

If these steps do not resolve the problem or if the solution seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues continue, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I restored a backup of a development site, and suddenly WPML's Advanced Translation Editor stopped working. I tried restoring the backup again, cleared the cache and WPML's cache, and removed and re-added the WPML site key. It worked for a short while, but then I got an error: AMS Server Communication - API error missing resource: No sitekey found for this website.

Symptoms:
On some pages, the Advanced Translation Editor doesn't load at all, while on others it loads but never completes the translation. I am now getting this error: 2025/04/03 2:21:47 PM – ATE Server Communication – Service Unavailable {"url":"hidden link","requestArgs":{"method":"POST","body":{"ids":["134517927","134519549","135509935"]}},"status":503}.

Questions:
What should I do to resolve the ATE Server Communication error?
How can I ensure the Advanced Translation Editor works consistently?

Hi Alejandro, do you have any news for me? Can I go ahead and use the classic editor in the meantime?

Thank you for your patience. Could you please test it again to see if it's working now? It should have been fixed.

Please follow these steps:

1. Update the original page and save your changes.

2. Go to the WPML translation editor.
