This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client was experiencing an issue where images added in the German language using the WPML Media Translation addon were not displaying on the German version of the site. Instead, the English language version images were showing. Additionally, the client mentioned that the 'Save media translation' button was not working initially, which was resolved by disabling all plugins.
Solution:
We checked the client's site and confirmed that the images for the English and German versions were indeed different and correctly pointing to their respective URLs. It appears that the issue may have been related to caching at the time the problem was reported. We recommend:
1. Clearing the site's cache.
2. Checking the site in a private/incognito browser window to avoid local caching issues.
3. If the issue persists, providing more details or screenshots to help us understand the exact problem.
Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If you're still experiencing issues, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem continues, please open a new support ticket with us.
