This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
After migrating a production site to a staging site using Updraftplus, the client encountered an error indicating that the table 'wp_glg_stage.wp_icl_strings' does not exist. They also inquired about the specific process to follow when migrating WPML with Updraftplus.
Solution:
If you're experiencing a similar issue after migration, we recommend trying the following steps:
1. Attempt to remove the warning message by clicking the small 'x' icon on the message.
2. Refresh the dashboard to check if the warning message persists.
If the message disappears, then everything should be in order. However, if the issue persists, it might indicate a deeper problem. For more detailed information, please refer to our documentation on how to deal with error messages about a broken table that needs fixing: WPML Documentation on Database Errors.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at WPML Known Issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
We were copying the production site to a staging site to reset staging with new updates made live on production. After the migration using Updraftplus, we encountered an error. We do have JetEngine running.

Symptoms:
Table 'wp_glg_stage.wp_icl_strings' doesn't exist.

Questions:
How can we resolve the missing table error after migration?
Is there a specific process to follow when migrating WPML with Updraftplus?

Hello,

if you see that you don't have the same tables as in the original site, then that means the migration didn't finish properly. I can see you only have 40M of memory which is a leading cause of "silent errors" in WordPress.

Can you check how many "ICL_" tables you have? there should be at least 16-18 tables. and icl_strings is one of them, a big one.

Do you also have the original site or not anymore? if not, try to increase the memory and then retry the migration to see if this time it works correctly.

Regards,

Hi Alejandro,

We've increased the memory to 1024MB but the error still persists. I can also see the icl_strings table in our database, along with several other related tables starting with prefix icl_.

I'm not sure why it's still appearing as missing.
