This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
Pages were sent to the translator for translation and the translations were completed. But the ATE for the page currently does not contain the translator's translation version.
Solution:
- Click on the link in the Translator's translation jobs link or in the email sent to the translator and click on complete.
- Go to WPML -> Translation Management, resend the pages with the issue for translation, and assign it to yourself.
- Go to WPML -> Translations and edit the translation for the page with the issue, Make sure the translator's version of the test is there and complete it.

I would like to continue a ticket that was marked as resolved: would it be possible to connect directly with a screensharing session, so as to show what the issues are, because the translation that the translator worked on still don't appear correctly on the pages I see. |

I recorded the video, but it doesn't allow me to upload it here. Can you help me do so? |

This is an additional video I recorded, the spoken part starts a few seconds into the recording: hidden link I wonder if I'm simply better off spending the time copying the translator's version into the pages I see. |

Hi there, I would need to take a closer look at your site. So would you please mind sharing temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to your site? Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated. I have enabled a private reply for you to share the credentials securely, which means only you and I have access to it. IMPORTANT: Please take a complete backup of the site first to avoid data loss. Regards, |

Thank you for the details, The FTP details seems to work however when I try to login to wp-admin with the details I get the following error: Error: The username williamV-12 is not registered on this site. If you are unsure of your username, try your email address instead. Can you please recheck the details or share working details again? Regards, |

Thank you for the details. I can now log in to the site. I see the Privacy Notice page having the issue as shown in your screen recording is working fine now. ( hidden link ) it is translated to German fine ( hidden link ). However, I saw that many page translations to German were in progress so to test I edited the translation of Apply for a grant ( hidden link ) and completed it and the German page now seems to work fine ( hidden link ). Can you please try translating the pages again and clicking the complete button to see how it goes? Before translating though please make sure the following points are addressed: 1. Make sure the user translating the page is assigned the correct language pair at WPML -> Translation Management -> Translators 2. I see your site only has 40 MB of WP memory limit which is less than the WPML requirement and could cause issues. Please add this near the end in your wp-config.php file (just before /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ Then, see if it makes any difference. The wp-config.php file is located in your WordPress root directory. It’s the same file where the database configuration settings are. You will have to access it by FTP or SFTP in order to edit it. 3. I see multiple "ATE Server Communication" errors at WPML -> Support -> Error Logs link below "Advanced Translation Editor" heading. So also please contact the hosting provider and make sure they whitelist or are not blocking the following domains or their IP ( which you can find by pinging them) for the site: wpml.org Regards, |

Hi Subash, We were able to take care up to #3 in your list. I talked with our hosting provider, and they didn't see those domains blocked. They also said: "I'm not really seeing a ping for those domains on any machine I have - so I'm thinking they are blocking ICMP pings. Which is fairly normal." I'm not sure how necessary it is, to look into this further. We were able to increase the WPML memory. It looks like what the translator didn't mark as completed didn't get properly saved in the translation memory. I understood a couple of things about how WPML works. It still won't spare me too much work, as I'll have to ensure the correct translation in each segment. Thank you for your support and have a great weekend! |

Thank you for the updates Daniela, The issue most probably was caused due to low memory limits among other issues. I tried editing the translation of the pages that were still in progress like for "Contact us " page to German translation and clicked on the "Complete" button in the translation editor I see it works fine now and the translation page is created fine now. Can you please try translating/editing the translation and clicking on the "Complete" button again and see if it works fine now or not? If you still get the issue, please let me know the name/URL of the page that the translator was trying to translate and the username/email of the translator account on the site. Regards, |

Hello Subash, Thank you for your email. I did one more test and the issue does seem to persist. If I make edits to the pages when I log in as myself, I do see these edits on the pages. When the edits to the same page are done by the translator, these don't seem to be transmitted, despite clicking on complete and saving to the translation memory, despite previewing the pages from the link of the page from the assigned translations. The page I'm looking at is: Grant terms and choice of providers: I'm uploading 4 images: For now, it looks like the only way for me to receive the translator's edits is to copy and paste the text into my WPML version (which is quite a bit of work.) |

Thank you for further tests and detailed updates. Can you please also send the translator login credentials so that I can test the issue further? I have enabled a private reply for you to share the details safely. Regards, |

Thank you for the details. However, I was not able to replicate the issue at my end. I see the updates made on the translation editor by the translator user you sent me the details of is going through the page fine as shown in the screen recording linked below: hidden link Can you please recheck from your end and confirm? While testing make sure to test with all history/cache of browser cleared or from an incognito window with all browser extension disabled to cancel out the possibility of browser cache or extension interfering. Regards, |

Hi Subash, Thank you for your assistance. Logging in as the translator, the changes made from selecting "translate" from the list of translation in WPML work as you described in the video. Unfortunately, the text it starts with is not the text the translator had ended with. If I click on the links that the translator had received when he started the work, I can still see the text the way he edited it. I'm going to forward you the email that he received. (The links disappear if I paste them here). Check the grants page at the number 4089. Here is the list of pages (without the links) Link to original document 3: start translating Thanks! |
