[Resolved] Elementor Image Slider: One image shown twice, and one ignored
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to translate an Elementor page with image sliders, but one image is shown twice and another is ignored in the translated version. Solution: 1. Ensure that you have updated WPML to the latest version and check if the issue still persists. 2. Edit the home page in the default language, make a minor edit, and update it. 3. Use the WPML translation editor to update the translation and check if the images now appear correctly on the translated page.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate an Elementor page that contains image sliders. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link. I expected to see identical image sliders under rooms like in the primary language: hidden link.
Symptoms:
One slider image is shown twice, and one is ignored. The slider for the room 'BRANDIS' only has one image, but a duplicate one.
Questions:
Why is one image shown twice and another ignored in the translated page's image slider?
How can I ensure the image sliders are identical in both languages?
Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please back up your database and website ❌
✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
Thanks for your reply. I edited the home page in the default language, made a minor edit, and updated it.
After that, I updated the translation using the WPML translation editor. Please check if the images appear correctly on the English page. (hidden link)
