I expected to see: an article in English
Instead, I got: an article in german (and the tranlation to other languages, it's like they don't exist; when I click to see the article in another language, I am taken to the Home page of that language)
I get this only when I am not logged in to my wordpress dashboard; when I am logged in, everything is normal; I clead cache and tried differnet browser, same issue

Please make sure that the translated articles are published. In order to check this, please go to Posts-> All Posts, switch the language using the top admin bar language switcher, and check if this article is published in all languages.
Also, please make a minor edit to the default language post, and update its translation to check if that will fix the English post's issue.
I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.
