Hello,
on hidden link we have copied another website (english), and have created a translated subpage (french) and now we switched the default language to french (because in the end we want to disable english).
In general this is working very well.
There is only one bigger problem: Big amounts of HTML Code used in Gravity form notification mails. The translation of the form itself worked very good, but to edit the translation in the HTML Code is a mess.
Is there a way to be able to just overwrite the english versions and have that taken instead of the hundreds of small strings? (without loosing the form translation?)
I guess if I remove the gravity form from WPML, then we can just overwrite the english HTML with the french one, but the form translation will be lost.
So hopefully there is another way?
Maybe if I create a new notification today (after the translation, and now when default language is "french")?
First of all, sorry for the late reply due to a higher workload during the weekend.
I'm afraid that changing the language of the original form created with Gravity Forms or editing the translation manually is not possible.
Since the site will be only in French, I suggest creating a new form in French so you can edit the notification email template directly in the original language.
Regarding the HTML issue you mentioned, could you please send me a screenshot showing how the HTML looks inside the translation editor?
Hello,
we solved the issue by just creating a new notification message in Gravity Forms. This new message can now be directly in french. It works so far 🙂
Or are there any drawbacks?
Thanks,
Sven
