[Resolved] I am trying to translate the field eael_fg_control on Filterable Gallery addon from Essential Addons...
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was unable to translate the 'eael_fg_control' field in the Filterable Gallery addon from Essential Addons using WPML. The XML code added for translation did not work, and the field was not listed under WPML > Settings > Custom fields translations.
Solution: We confirmed that the XML provided by Essential Addons was complete and included all necessary fields, so no additional custom XML was required. The issue was unique to the client's site configuration. We suggested removing all custom XML code added by the client and verified that the fields were registered correctly in the plugin's XML configuration file. If the issue persisted, we recommended switching from the Classic Translation Editor (CTE) to the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) for better handling of the content. Additionally, we provided a custom XML code to ensure all relevant fields were included and suggested a template refresh to update the fields in the translation editor.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate the field eael_fg_control on the Filterable Gallery addon from Essential Addons on my site hidden link. I have tried adding the following XML code but it didn't work: eael_fg_gallery_item_name eael_fg_gallery_item_video_link eael_fg_control .
Symptoms:
The XML code I added to translate the field eael_fg_control did not work.
Questions:
Why is the XML code not working for translating the field eael_fg_control?
Is there a specific way to configure WPML for translating fields in the Filterable Gallery addon?
After further checking into the code and XML file from Essential addons, it turns out that their XML is actually complete and does include all the fields that you are referring to, so no need to add any custom XML.
With that said, I was able to translate that widget on the sandbox here : hidden link
To access as an admin : hidden link
It took a while to understand the behavior, and at first I suspected the new caching function from elementor under Elementor settings > Features : hidden link
But that wasn't active on your site.
What I could conclude from my debugging and what more information needed to solve this? :
1- This is an issue unique to your site, AKA related to the configuration itself
2- Is there a specific reason why you are using CTE (classic translation editor) instead of ATE (advanced translation editor) ?
3- You need to remove all XML code you added related to this widget, you can check and find that the label of the items are registered under wp-content\plugins\essential-addons-for-elementor-lite\wpml-config.xml
4- I asked about ATE as this editor works differently and could actually load the content without any changes needed.
5- If that did not help, I would need to get a copy of your site and debug it locally, let me know if I can install a migration plugin on your site.
I get this error when exporting the site : Out of disk space. Unable to write content to file. File: /home/motorline/public_html/motorline.pt/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage/bg4g96hlvtm6/motorline-pt-20241118-172239-bjibj259gf1h.wpress
Could you please attempt the export yourself ? please exclude Media files to reduce the file size.
Sorry I didn't get back to you, I had to create another backup, the first one was corrupted, the new one was 22GB and your site allowed 1GB of data to be downloaded at a time,
So I spend a couple of days to simply download the backup one gig at a time and I'm currently uploading it at 75%, and will get to debugging once completed.
