Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand what you're looking for. As per the official documentation of the Quiz Maker plugin(hidden link), you should be able to translate the quizzes from "WPML > String Translations".

However, If you're not seeing the strings related to Quizzes and Answers in the String Translation, would you please search in the Admin screen by following the documentation below?

- https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/#translate-admin-and-settings-strings

If the strings appear there, register them for translation and translate them from string translation.

Please let me know if that helps or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi There,
Thank you for sharing the access information.

When I checked the first time, the credentials were working but when I tried to log in again to make a video about the process, the access informQation was no longer working.

However, after initial investigation, I found that the quizzes were created within the Admin Page by the Quiz Maker plugin. If the Quizzes are created within any post type, you should easily be able to translate them by making the post type translatable.

Since the nature of Admin pages is unique, translating the quizzes can be a bit tricky, but not impossible. You have to duplicate the quizzes and manually translate them for each language. Here are the steps to follow:

- Please go to "Quiz Maker > All Quizzes"
- You'll find a " Duplicate " link under each quiz. Click on that and duplicate the quiz.
- Next, open the duplicated quiz and modify its contents for different languages. For instance, to present the quizzes in German on the German Page, you should input the quiz contents in the German language.
- After completing the content addition, make sure to copy the shortcodes of both the original language quiz and the duplicated quiz. For instance, the shortcode for the original quiz might be: [ays_quiz id='7'], and for the duplicated quiz, it could be: [ays_quiz id='10']. Remember to note down both shortcodes.
- Now go to "WPML > String Translation"
- In the search box, enter the shortcode of the default quiz form([ays_quiz id='7']) and search for it.
- If you find that shortcode in the results, you should then add the duplicated quiz's shortcode([ays_quiz id='10']) as a translation of the default shortcode. This is done by clicking on the "+" icon located under the German flag, considering that the duplicated quiz was created in German.

If you embed the shortcode on a page and then translate that page into German, switching to the German version will automatically load the quizzes created in German. This method enables you to effectively translate and display the quizzes into another language.

Let me know if that helps or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi There,
Thank you for sharing the access information.

To illustrate, I translated the "Black Belt Quiz" and one of its questions into German. To get a better understanding of the entire process, please check this video [ hidden link ].

To summarize, the process begins with duplicating the questions. This is done by going to "Quiz Maker > Questions." Next, edit the duplicated question to include the translated content. Following this, duplicate the Quiz, edit it, and add the questions that you've duplicated and modified earlier. Finally, translate the Shortcode by accessing WPML > String Translation. Note that the entire translation process is manual.

Please let me know if there is anything else you need help with. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi There,

Thank you for the update. I understand the confusion and frustration you might be experiencing, and I’m here to assist you in the best way possible.

After the initial investigation, in my response on December 28th (#15133754), I mentioned that quizzes need to be created manually in each language. This is because quizzes, particularly those created within admin pages, aren't automatically translatable like standard pages or posts. However, I want to clarify an important aspect regarding the WPML plugin's capabilities.

WPML is a tool for translating content, but its effectiveness depends on the integration with other plugins. If the Quiz Maker plugin you are using is fully integrated with WPML(Including quizzes and questions), then WPML should be able to translate the quizzes and questions without the need for manual translation.

Given this, I recommend reaching out to the Quiz Maker plugin's author or support team. They can provide specific insights on whether WPML support is integrated with their plugin and if there's a way for WPML to automatically translate your quizzes.

By contacting the Quiz Maker support team, you'll get the most accurate information and potential solutions. They might even have updates or additional plugins that could resolve this issue.

I hope you can understand, I'm here to help with any further questions or assistance you might need as you navigate this. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Best regards and a very happy New Year to you!

- Prosenjit
