Background of the issue:
I am trying to automatically translate a page, but suddenly there are no credits available. The issue can be seen at the following link: hidden link.

Symptoms:
The site connection for shared use of credits is 'lost'. So there are no credits for automatic translation available. I had to transfer the site key again, resulting in two entries in the list of connected websites. The key is in the list but not functioning.

Questions:
How do I housekeep the list of connected websites?
Why is the key in the list but not functioning?
How can I anticipate this error and proactively check and replace 'lost' keys?

Hello there!

This usually happens when you migrate your site, probably back and forth between 2 domains. can you confirm (in case you know) if that was the case to you?

About the fact that it appears twice, that just means that your site was indeed at one point migrated, you selected the "copy" option of the banner and then you migrated that copy back into the original, basically overwriting it with this new one.

That would actually fit with your result, but I'd like to know your workflow so I can better understand how we can prevent this.

We're also working on a new migration system that would minimize these issues and should be ready in a few months 🙂

------------------------

On our end I see a site that contains 452580 prepaid credits.

The only ones that are not connected to this organization are the ones that on our end have these URLs:

- hidden link
- hidden link
- hidden link

If none of these are the URLs that you're using right now, then can you please go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting and send me the identifier you see in that page, please? It will help me identify and probably understand why you're not seeing the credits.

You sent me the debug information, you just missed a step there. you got to WPML > Support and clicked the link below the Troubleshooting link, hehe.

You'll see the option i mean ("Your automatic translation ID is:") right at the beginning of the page, after the cache disabling/enabling option.

Can you send me the code you see there, please?

You're right, among all the debug info code, i totally missed it right at the end.

I found the issue and it seems related to something with the migration, We can talk about it later as soon as I fix everything on our end because from your previous explanation it seems like it could happen again.

Let's fix this problem with the credits and we can talk about the "housekeeping" with the domains, ok?

I'll return shortly asking you to check your WPML > Translation Management > Translation Tools tab, and confirm the credits are there now.

Ok, I have connected for you the different references you have for this site and also removed the duplicates.

The next step for you is to check the connected sites and delete from there the domains you won't plan on using again AND that are not live anywhere else.

Let me know if that helps you and if it does, then I'd like to know more about your migration but we can deal with that afterwards.

At this moment no housekeeping is necessary, since there are no duplicate entrys in the Verbundene Websites list.
