This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You want to translate a post using WPML, but the translation process gets stuck at 'in progress'.
Solution:
1. Deactivate the GTranslate plugin on your site.
2. Make an edit to the content of the original post and save it.
3. Attempt to translate the post again.
4. Review the translation queue if necessary and complete any pending tasks.
5. Verify that the translations are now working.
Note: The current language switcher in your menu, which is designed for GTranslate, will not work with WPML. Consider using one of the WPML Language Switchers.

Hello,

According to the provided debug information, the plugin "GTranslate" is enabled on the site.

Please deactivate the plugin and test again by making an edit to the content of the original post, saving the post, and translating it again.

Best regards
Andreas

I did this but nothing happend it is still stuck in 'in progress'. Are you sure that it is because of GTranslate?

I can not suggest running GTranslate or any other translation plugin together with WPML, as you should not have two-page builders active at the same time, etc.

This can cause unexpected issues.

If this does not solve the issue, I would like to offer to take a closer look and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the site to investigate the issue further.

The required fields are below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up the site and database before granting us access.

If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and site login details will be set to "PUBLIC". DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

The private reply form looks like this:

This is kind of odd, it seems the translation queue got stuck.

As mentioned earlier, I disable GTranslate. Then there was a review of the translation queue that needed to be completed.

After completing this review the translations seem to work again.

Please verify and let me know if further assistance is needed.

Also, take note that your current language switcher inside the menu will not work with WPML. This seems to be a language switcher for GTranslate.
