This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are using Elementor with the Astra Pro theme and have a WooCommerce shortcode on your homepage to display featured products. This shortcode works correctly in the main language but fails in the translated version. Disabling the 'WooCommerce Multilingual' plugin allows the shortcode to function, but then the product shop page does not display translated products.
Solution:
We found that the 'icl_sitepress_settings' key in your site's wp-options table was corrupted. Here are the steps to resolve the issue:
1. Open your database manager, such as PhpMyAdmin.
2. Navigate to the wp_options table.
3. Search for 'icl_sitepress_settings'.
4. Delete this key.
5. Go to your site's dashboard.
6. Click 'Configure WPML'.
7. Complete the setup.
8. Check the translated homepage.
Please ensure to backup your database before performing these steps.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I'm using Elementor on my website with the Astra Pro theme. On the homepage, I've included a WooCommerce shortcode to display featured products. It works perfectly on the main language home page. However, when I switch to another language (in my case, the second language is English), the shortcode doesn't function properly. If I disable the 'WooCommerce Multilingual' plugin, the shortcode works, but the product shop page doesn't show translated products. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
The shortcode for displaying featured products does not function properly on the translated homepage. Disabling the 'WooCommerce Multilingual' plugin makes the shortcode work, but the product shop page doesn't show translated products.

Questions:
Why does the WooCommerce shortcode not function properly on the translated homepage?
How can I get the shortcode to work without disabling the 'WooCommerce Multilingual' plugin?
Why doesn't the product shop page show translated products when the 'WooCommerce Multilingual' plugin is disabled?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

Please edit the translated home page using Elementor and check the shortcode while WooCommerce Multilingual is enabled.

If it's copied correctly, I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

1) Could you please share screenshots of the following?

1- The shortcode in Elementor
2- WooCommerce Multilingual settings and status tabs

2) Please go to Products-> All products, switch the language using the top admin bar, and make sure that the translated products are featured.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for the screenshots. The screenshot shows Georgian products; please check the English products as well.

If they are featured, I'm afraid I would need the access details.

If sharing the access details is not possible, please let me know if you can provide a copy of the site.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Sure, We usually recommend the free Plugin “Duplicator” for this porpoise.

If you already know how Duplicator works. (http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/)

Please skip the following steps and send me the installer file and the zip package you downloaded.

★ Duplicator Instructions (hidden link)

Send me both files (you probably want to use DropBox, Google Drive, or similar services, as the snapshot file will be quite big)

I will enable your next answer to be private so you can securely provide me with the information.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for the copy. I installed a local copy of your site and tried some workarounds, but I haven't had any luck.

So, I created a hidden link">sandbox site to replicate the issue there, but the shortcode worked correctly in hidden link">both languages.

After that, I compared the two sites and found that the "icl_sitepress_settings" key in the wp-options table on your site was corrupted, so I deleted it, which fixed the issue.

Kindly check the following steps:

1- Open your database manager, for example, PhpMyAdmin
2- Open the wp_options table
3- Search for "icl_sitepress_settings"
4- Delete this key
5- Go to your site's dashboard
6- Click Configure WPML
7- Finish the setup
8- Check the translated home page

❌ Please backup your database before performing the above steps ❌

Best regards,
Osama
