I have a very old website that uses WPML for multilingual support. In April of last year, I performed an upgrade on the website (WordPress and all plugins, including WPML). From that day onwards, I started experiencing issues with invoices. For some of the products that had VAT (Value Added Tax) configured, invoices were generated without VAT. I checked that the invoices were correct and matched the orders, but the fact that orders were being recorded without VAT was actually the issue. I discovered this issue about a month ago, and since then, I have conducted numerous tests and found that the plugin causing this problem is WPML. When I disable WPML, orders for this particular product are recorded with VAT (and the invoice reflects that). However, when I enable WPML, one out of every few purchases registers without VAT. It doesn't happen every time, but it occurs quite often. I want to mention that it's not always the first purchase after enabling WPML that registers without VAT. It happens randomly, but with WPML turned off, it doesn't happen at all. I've made around 30 purchases (if not more) with WPML disabled, and every time the order is correctly recorded with VAT. I've set up a development environment to investigate this issue. The development environment can be accessed here: hidden link . The product I'm testing with is hidden link, which has a 17% VAT configured. When the issue occurs, the order is recorded without tax. Please assist me with this as soon as possible. Thank you very much. |

Hello, If you run WooCommerce with WPML you need to install our WooCommerce Multilingual Plugin. Please go to Plugins > Install > Commercial and install the plugin or download it from here: Then please run the Setup Wizard by using the dedicated Dashboard Notification or by going to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multi-Currency. Also, I would suggest you read this guide in order to learn how to translate WooCommerce. Further, take note, that the VAT Settings come from WooCommerce and are declared inside the WooCommerce Settings per country. You will need to make sure to have translated products for this VAT to apply in other site languages. Best regards |

Hi Andrei, Thank you for the response. Of course, I have the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency plugin installed. The website is not old but rather established. It has been working excellently for several years, including supporting multiple languages and currencies. Our issue started about 5 months ago, and after numerous tests and attempts to isolate the plugin causing this, we found that the culprit is the WPML CMS plugin. This is the reason why many plugins are currently deactivated (not because we didn't know we needed them). I kindly request that you take this matter seriously. I would be happy to provide you with access details so you can perform the necessary checks. Thank you very much. |

Hello, Thank you for your message. It appears that the WCML plugin did not show up inside your debug information which is why I thought might not be activated. I would like to offer to have a closer look at the problem and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate this issue further. You can find the required fields below the comment section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, which means only you and I can see and access it. IMPORTANT I may have to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" to make a copy of the website where I can investigate the issue further. However, I would also be very grateful if you could provide a staging site or copy of the website from your server yourself for this purpose. If you have any questions about creating such a staging site, you can consult your hosting provider. Just take note that WPML should be registered on this site again. If you are unable to provide such a copy of the site for testing, please let me know on this ticket. The private response form looks like this: Next time you reply, click "I still need assistance." Video: Please note that we are obliged to request this information individually on each ticket. We may not access any access information not specifically submitted on this ticket in the private response form. Best regards |

Hello, On your dev site currently, 39 plugins and possibly even the Hello Elementor theme are outdated. After navigating on the site for a while I receive the following error and the site is not responding anymore: ERR_TIMED_OUT Please first update all plugins and the theme. Then proceed with testing and let me know if the issue persists. Best regards |
