  1. Hello,

I’ve developed a completely custom theme for a client. For the moment, a few things (including the navigation) are hard-coded. If I understand correctly, these can be translated as well but it is done manually? Is that correct?

  2. Dear Sir,

    My questions according WPML are:
    1. Can I upgrade from Blog version to CMS version of the plugin if need in the future by paying the difference?
    2. I translate everything by my self so the Blog version should be good for me. Can I translate all the SEO data with this version of the plugin?

    Thank you.

    • I don’t know. I think it should work, but we’re not using Catalyst. In any case, if you try WPML and have problems, we’ll do our best to make it work for you. If we can’t, you can always get a refund.

    • This should probably be OK. The minimum requirements page reports the PHP version that we’re normally developing with. Your version of PHP is fine too.

  3. Hello,

I intend to develop an ecommerce site with Jigoshop. Is this fully compatible with WPML?

    Thank you
    Best wishes
    Alex

  4. Hi,

I’ll be developing a WP site using Artisteer to create the theme. Do you know if there are any compatibility issues with WPML and Artisteer?

    Thanks
    Alan

    • Sorry, but we haven’t tried Artisteer themes. You can try and if there’s any trouble, we’ll do our best to help through them. Finally, if you’re not happy with WPML, you can always get your money back.

  5. Hello,

I am wondering about the license renewal process, and in particular for non-profit license holders. Is it necessary to reapply every year, or what exactly is required?

  6. I have used your WPML wordpress Multilingual CMS. This is great, thank you for creating a useful plugin, I just want to know, can i get Multilingual CMS for custom php, please provide me the information regarding this. This is urgent.

  7. Hi! We need to have our site in French (as it is now) and English as well. Is the “Multilingual Blog” enough for our needs? We’ll be doing the translation ourselves.
Also, will it work with our current theme?
    Thanks!
    Miguel

    • I don’t know which theme you’re using, so I can’t tell if there will be anything incompatible or that needs some work on.

You can start with the Blog version and if you need, you can later upgrade to the full version.

  8. if after the 1 year of updates you discover MAJOR SECURITY FLAWS on the script do we have to pay once again to be able to update it on the websites?

    • We make much more than one release per year. Most releases are to add new functionality and keep up with WordPress versions. If we ever catch a security problem, we fix it right away.

After one year, you will need to pay an additional 50% of the original price, to keep receiving updates.

  9. Hi, Someone recommended your app but I can’t work out whether it is what I need or not. My site http://www.socialmediaeverything.com is in English and I’ve written the French version of it. I want visiters to be able to click a button on whatever page they’re on and flip to the French version of each page (or vice versa) just as they can on my Joomla site http://www.gspinsights.com. I’m just not clear whether this plugin does this or whether it just translates (which I don’t need it to do).
    Thanks for your time !

    • WPML does exactly as you describe. WPML can insert different types of language switchers, including drop-down and other styles. You can click on the language switcher in our own site (located at the bottom), to see how it works.

  10. Hello,

I’d like to buy your product but i’m not sure if i only need “Multilingual Blog” or if i’ll need fonctions of the “Multilingual CMS”.
For a woocommerce translation is it an obligation to use the “Multilingual CMS” in combination with http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/ ?

Can i buy the “Multilingual Blog” an then upgrade to “Multilingual CMS” if i see that i need to, only paying the difference, or will i have to pay the complete price?

    Thanks for your reply.

    Best regards.
    – And sorry for my french english 😉 –

  11. I was about to purchase Multilingual CMS however I need certain information to be on the receipt, Company name, address, and tax code. We need this on all receipts regarding purchases related to our company.
    Thank you

    • That’s not a problem. Even after you purchase WPML, you can login to your account and customize the information on your invoice. You’ll be able to enter the complete company information. This will appear on the printable receipt.

    • Nothing will stop working. After one year, if you don’t renew your account (costs 50%), you will not have access to our support or to download new versions of WPML.

  12. Is it possible to have the page slugs translated as well?

    Example, Services page:

    English:
    domain.tld/services

    German:
    domain.tld/dienstleistungen

    Italian:
    domain.tld/servizi

  13. Good afternoon,
I have 4 different websites. I would like to use your plugin on all of them. At the moment they are working with Qtranlate. Do I need to buy 4 times?? If yes, is there a discount??

    – I use Getshopped ecommerce gold cart on three of them. Will it work with your plugin?
    – I want to install Online booking Calendar (http://onlinebookingcalendar.com). Will it work with your plugin??
    – Is it a lot of work to import everything form qtranslate with the qtranslate importer?? How is the feedback? Problems?

    Kind regards,

    Eric

    • 1. You need to buy WPML just once and you can use it on as many sites as you like.
      2. There is a problem with WP E-Commerce and WPML related to product variations. We’re working on it with the WPEC team, but I’m not sure when it will be completely resolved.
      3. We haven’t had feedback about the qTranslate importer. In our testing, it’s working fine.

    • I’m not sure about themes from ElegantThemes. We’ve been wanting to test WPML and these themes, but haven’t done that yet.

  14. Hi , Does the WPML Work with Jobroller Theme form Apptheme.com in 2 styles (RTL + LTR ) like English and Hebrew or Arabic?

    • We haven’t tested WPML with JobRoller from AppThemes. We’ve been meaning to do this for a while, but we’re not getting much interest from AppThemes folks. Can you also ask them, so that they see that people are looking for this with WPML? It will make it much easier for us to work with them.

    • I don’t have your full name and can’t find your email in our clients database. Please use our contact form, enter your full name and use the same email that you did when purchasing. If you have your purchase confirmation email, please paste it there too and we’ll look up your account data.
