    • Hello,
thanks for you interest but the answer is no, you cannot.
      As explained in this page

Advanced Translation Editor is a subscription-based service, currently in beta. During the beta period, it is completely free to use. When the beta phase completes, the service will be charged at a per user, per month rate. You can customize your translators’ subscriptions to the service at any time.

I still need to find out how it will handle machine translations in terms of charging the users. I mean whether this is will be included or charged separately and on what terms. I’m sure this topic (machine translations) deserves an in-depth explanation so you can expect it soon.

  1. Dears,
I would like to purchase your plugin but I’m confused if the blog will be enough for me or not.

I used Storefront Theme in building the website actually it is not a full woocommerce website.
I mean there is no online payments or orders on the website I also hide the Cart from the website at all.

My client only needs to show his products with its price and that’s it.

First I need to know if this Theme will support “Arabic and English” or not?

Second I would like to know if I purchase “Blog” version would it be enough to translate the menus, pages, posts, products and the categories of the items in the shop or not ??

Waiting for your response and thanks so much in advance.

    • Hello,

the Blog version is meant only for simple sites such as blogs. If your site has anything to do with WooCommerce, the Blog version won’t suffice. The Storefront Theme supports RTL. When your theme is RTL ready, then handling RTL using WPML will work out of the box without any additional work on your part.

  2. Hi, we are developing a new wordpress site and we would like to do it in English and Spanish. Therefore, we are thinking about buying wpml translator. According to this, i have a couple doubts:

    1) If you buy the plugin, can you use it in several websites or do you have to buy it for every website you want to use it?

    2) If you buy the 79$ plugin, the only difference between it and the 195$ plugin is that you only have 1 year support and updates, isn’t it?

    Thanks!

    • Hello Alejandro,
Thanks for your interest. You can use the CMS subscription to register as many sites as you want for now. Note we will introduce subscription changes and the 79$ plan will allow to register a maximum of 3 sites afterwards. The difference with the lifetime plan is the one you mention but take into account this offer will be removed after the changes. However if you buy the lifetime subscription now you will be entitled to unlimited sites and updates and support for life. More info about the coming changes here https://wpml.org/2018/04/lifetime-plan-going-away-favor-annual-renewals/

      Kind regards,

      • Hi mercedes, thanks for your response. Does that mean that even if i buy now the plan, conditions will change as soon as you change the plans or will i keep the same conditions im buying at this
        Moment?

        • Hello Alejandro,
If you buy the lifetime subscription it will not change and you will keep the same: unlimited sites and access to updates and support for life. If you buy the CMS subscription you will keep the sites which you have registered for the first year but at the time of renewing next year, the changes will apply (restriction of sites + new renewal fee)

Let me know if you have any further question.

    • Hello Hesam,
I am afraid we have stopped supporting non-profits for now. We continue to support the existing ones in our system but we cannot take new ones. You are welcome to buy WPML and try it for 30 days. If it does not suit your needs we will refund you https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/.

      Hope this helps!

  3. Hi, I need to renew my WPML license, but ..

Last year the cost was US $ 39. and now I have to pay US $ 79? why?

    • Hello Jim,
What is your username or mail registered with us? I did not find any user with your mail. In any case did you receive the mail with the reminder to renew for 50%?
      Let me know please.

      Kind regards,

  4. Hello!

I am running a site for our community which is a not-for-profit organization. There is no advertising on the site and is run by volunteers to support our community. Many moons ago, I remember this plugin being available free of charge to NFP’s. Is this still the case?
    Thanks

  5. Goodday,

Will WPML also translate the text in my main menu made by Heromenu (from heroplugins.com)?
Can i put the the language switch in the menu made by heromenu?

    Kind regards, Deep

    • Hello,
if your theme uses the standard WordPress menu (I mean the one you manage in your WP admin Appearance->Menu) then you just need to use WPML settings and the language switcher will appear in you menu.

  6. Hello, I tried to purchase Multilingual CMS. My paypal account was debited, but it appears the transaction wasn’t successful.

  7. Thinking of purchasing but…
i always like to know what exactly i pay for.
If i buy the CMS 1 year:
    – i probably HAVE TO renew if the site runs longer than a year because i will most likely need the updates.
    – if used on many sites the rules and prices may change wich might get to be a problem.

If i buy the lifetime and for now only need it for 1 site, for how long will you exist ?

Of course the aim is a lifetime 😉 But after a search for another plugin i found before the weekend and i decided to purchase today..no longer available. (never had any sign of that coming up.
    See my dilemma?

if i buy for either 1 or endless, does it still run without updates for about several new wp updates lets say 2-3 years?

    • Hello Christine,
If you buy the CMS you will need to renew it to access updates and support again. we are going to introduce some changes soon in our subscription model and the 79$ pack will allow up to 3 sites and include the same features.
We still offer the lifetime version. It will give you access to updates and support for life for unlimited sites, even after the changes. We will keep the lifetime subscriptions intact.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further question.

      Kind regards,

  8. Hi I would like to find out 2 things.

    1) Am I able to place the language selector on the secondary navi bar at the top of the screen after the social media links.

    2) I am running a blog along with using woocommerce.. which version will work for me to have the online store in simplified chinese?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Hello Henry,

#1. WPML language switcher can be added to your menu and to some other places but the additional places will depend on the theme you use. Themes that are compatible with WPML provide more place where you can add your language switcher. This is what you get out of the box.

In addition, the language switcher can be inserted basically anywhere you want, if you use a code snippet. But in this case a tiny changes in your theme template(s) are required.

#2. In this case you will need the Multilingual CMS subscription. YOu can learn more about creating Multilingual stores here:

  9. Hi,

I’m the author of Hide My WP PRO plugin and I have many customers who are using WPML for their websites.

What I want is to make sure our plugin is always compatible with yours. Can you send me a dev version or a dev licence to install it on localhost for testing?

    Thank you,
    John

  10. Hello!

I have a customer with a Layers Page and with an child-theme (“Elita”).
According to my research, there should be no problem to work with WMPL. Right?
For another wordpress project (no Layers) we just could duplicate the page and change the content. Does it work with Layers the same way?

Actually we have some simple content Pages – it’s a typical corporate site.
I am wondering, which of the package is the right one for translation.
Is the small package for $29 enough – or do we need something else?

    Thank You!
    Amelie

    • Hello Amelie.
Layers Page is not included in our list of page builder compatible with WPML. Is “Elita” the name of your theme? I cannot see this one in our theme list either: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/

So I’m not sure if your theme and your page builder will work with WPML. But please note that even if a theme is not fully compatible with WPML, you should be able to translate your posts and pages but you might have issues with translating some theme options.

The Blog package will suffice only for really simple sites but you can start with the Blog package and upgrade later.

    • Hello Amelie,
Thanks for your interest. We have not tested Layers. Is this the one you mean? https://www.layerswp.com/ In any case you are welcome to try WPML and see how it works for you. If it does not suit your needs we will refund you. You have until 30 days to try it https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/
If you need it you can also ask for help at our forum and our supporters will assist you. You can start with the Blog version at 29$ and then upgrade to CMS for the difference only.
Please let me know if you have any further question.

  11. Hi,

I’m using a theme from FloThemes. Their tutorial tells me that I need WPML CMS version, because of string translation. So it comes out, that, to translate literally 8 words on my site (“next/prevoius post”, “view post”, “next/prev gallery” etc.) I need to upgrade to the CMS version. Isn’t there a way to get around with the ‘blog’ version of WPML? As I’ve read, the CMS version is rather for website creators and not someone who owns a single, small site. 🙂

    • Hello Marcin,
if you only need to translate strings such as “next/prevoius post”, “view post”, you don’t need WPML at all but you can use the Loco Translate plugin (you will find it in the WordPress repository). You will need WPML if you want to run you site in at least two languages (in other words, if you want to have a multilingual site) and in this case, to be able to translate all strings, you should have the WPML CMS version.

  13. I reviewed the details of the template on templatemonster it says it is WPML Ready. I really like the template are you able to test it or help install it should I buy the template?

    Thank you.

  14. Hi

Do I need to install wordpress and wooCommerce first than install “Multilingual CMS”? I am using storefront theme.

  15. Necesito ayuda, tuve un problema con mi sitio y cuando activo el pluggin se desconfigura todo el sitio, no se como repararlo

  16. Hi,

My client currently has four separate WordPress sites, each translated in a different language using Loco Translate. Each site also has a separate WooCommerce store. We are thinking of combining them into a single site (with a single store) and use WPML to display the languages. But we have some questions.

    Is it possible to…

    1. Show/hide WooCommerce products based on language?

    2. Show/hide posts or pages based on language?

    3. Display a different menu based on language?

Please let me know if the above is possible and what would be required to achieve it.

    Thanks,
    Jessica

    • 1. You can choose what product to translate and what not and set it up in a way that only translated products show up.
      2. The same applies to posts.
      3. Yes, there is a different menu per language.

      • Just to clarify…

For example, can we show certain products on the Portuguese version, but hide them on the English version? The main products would be the same for all languages, but there might be some products we want to show/hide for different language markets. We also want to do this with posts.

And of course the menu will be in Portuguese or English or another language, but can we change the menu items depending on language? For instance, show a certain menu item for Portuguese language but hide it for English?

        • You can do that but there is no need for hiding.

          1) For posts, pages and products you can remove the translation you want to hide. Or simply dont add the translation at all.

          2) Its the same for menus, you have a different menu for each language. If you dont want a certain item in a certain language you can simply remove it for the corresponding menu. Or dont add it there to start with.

  17. Hello
I released a WordPress theme in Themeforest. Many templates, I can see in ThemeForest they are including the WPML Plugin with the theme package. If I buy your last package {Multilingual
CMS Lifetime} Can I include with our theme? or do you have other pricing for it?
    Thanks

  18. Hello
I would like to purchase the “Multilingual CMS Lifetime” package. This is for multiple domains? If so for how many?

    Thank you very much
