I am a bit confused about the payment checkout. I had to login as I was having the payment processed. Now it states my subscription is pending but I am not sure whether it is as it should be or because my payment was never processed. Please advise. BR, Marlène
Hello Marlene,
I see the invoice is pending payment, which means it has not been charged for and cannot be reused either. You will need to log in to the account and start again.
Let me know of any other questions.
Quisera me apoyaran con información del costo de la licencia de por vida para CMS, así como las características de este plan, con cuantos sitios puedo usarlo, etc.
Gracias quedo pendiente de la información
Hola Jonathan:
La suscripción de por vida ya no está disponible. Puedes comprar la versión CMS (para instalar WPML en 3 sitios), o Agency (sitios ilimitados).
Los precios están aquí https://wpml.org/purchase/
Regarding the number of websites you can register on the multilingual cms, are these one-off registrations or if one website is unregistered another one can replace it?
Hi. Regarding the Multilingual CMS (and the Agency too maybe): if we register the module for a certain website / client, but our subscription expires, will that client still be able to use the plugin (without upgrades of course) or it will deactivate and break his website? Thanks!
Hello,
yes, the client will be able to use WPML but he won’t get access to upgrades. An active subscription is required only for updates and our support forum.
Hi, when I’d use WPML would it just do the translation and should I re-build a second one, or would it take my whole (English) site to another one, including layout, pictures, etc but in a second language?
Thnx!
Hello Pauline,
after installing WPML there won’t be any changes in your current site in your primary language. Nothing will change unless you start translating your pages (and other elements of your site) but even if you start it will affect only pages in the secondary language(s).
Hi, I am interested in purchasing WPML to give my website visitors the option to translate the content from English to Bengali. One of the main reasons I am considering WPML as opposed to competitors is the “Automatic (machine) translation” feature. However, I am not sure if Bengali language is supported and if I will be able to do Automatic Translation for Bengali. It is frustrating because it is the 8th most popular language in the world simply due to population as people in India and Bangladesh speak it.
So, I am worried about purchasing and then getting stuck. I am happy to buy it and try it. However, if it is too difficult to setup or I have problems, I need to know I can get refund within 30 days. I read your refund policy page it is not clear on this. I want this to work as I have multiple sites that need Bengali language. However, I am not a native speaker so I need to use the Auto Translate features, which I will have a native speaker check.
When I look at the Bengali language I cannot see the “Neural” option, which would indicate that you can use it for machine translations. So probably you won’t benefit from WPML if you need machine translations for Bengali.
Hi Agnes, thank you for your reply. On the link you posted Bengali is also called “Bangla” code “bn” on the link you posted. Although I am not a techie, I have been using a WP for a long time, however, I have never “myself” added language option on one of my sites. Most of what you are saying about ATE etc is not something I understand. All I know is that can I do an automatic translation of the site in a similar way to some of the more popular European languages like French or German?
If I can after I enable something or adding a plugin then it might be worth me purchasing it. However, if it will all have to be done manually then it may not be worth it.
The bottom line is that I want to know if it didn’t work out then I need to be able to get a refund within 30 days. Can I?
Do you work for WPML? If not, can someone from WPML reply about a refund. WPML seems very difficult to get in touch. I want to be able to email someone with questions. There doesn’t seem to be a support email or a telephone number published.
Hi there, we do have our own support system, the ticket is created in the forum or being handled in chat – if you have opened a ticket you should have also received an email. A supporter will. be assigned briefly and then reply to your ticket. I hope that helps.
We are working on the website with different “locations” instead of translating the full site to different languages. The question I have is can WPML WooCommerce translate can ONLY translate the pages, products or blogs or contents that we want? and, when the customer selects the location search bar ONLY will show the French pages, products?
any setting requirements?
Further explanation, we are duplicating the product in different product link and only translate that page. The concern that we have is can the filter and search bar only find the products under the locations.
It should work like that by default. To see products in other languages you would have to use the language switcher.
If you have further questions about setting this up its really a question for the support forum: http://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support
Hello, I could not reach your technical support department. I’m writing here. We received the package and added it to our web page containing woocommerce. But when we enable the plugin, the default language of wordpress turns from Turkish to English. For this reason, none of our pages are visible. We’re getting the 404 error. How can you help us?
Hello,
I am sorry to hear this. I am not a technical supporter and cannot help from here with your issue. Please go to our dedicated forum to clients, log in and start a new thread where one of our supporters will assist you https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/.
Why couldn’t you access it before?
I am shopping for a language plug-in. Please confirm that the Multilingual CMS (79 $ and then 59 $ per year for renewal) does automatic translation. Please confirm that I can edit content that has been automatically translated. Also, please confirm that I can have English as my primary language and then Dutch and French. Please explain in more detail how the 2000 words per month works. When I install the plug-in it will do automatic translation of 2000 words (per language?). If my site has 1600 words and that is what gets translated when I first install the plug-in, and then I change 200 words during a month, those 200 words are also automatically translated. If I change 500 words how am I charged for the 100 words over the 2000 word limit? Or do I have to translate those 100 words manually? Thank you
Hello Susan,
thank you for your interest in WPML.
1. Please confirm that the Multilingual CMS (79 $ and then 59 $ per year for renewal) does automatic translation
That’s correct. But you need to enable the ATE editor in WPML settings.
2. Please confirm that I can edit content that has been automatically translated.
That’s correct.
3. Please confirm that I can have English as my primary language and then Dutch and French.
Yes, you can set up WPML to use English as your primary language.
4. When I install the plug-in it will do automatic translation of 2000 words (per language?).
No, it won’t happen automatically. You need to pick your pages for translation. Please check the video to see how it works: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
5. Regarding the last part of your question. As mentioned above, your content won’t get translated automatically. Let me consult the part about pricing with our ATE team. I’ll keep you posted.
Sorry for multiple posts. Please ignore my above message. Here is the correct summary of our case:
Our case:
– two languages and domains, one is tradeshowesports.com while other is tradeshowesports.cn
– tradeshowesports.com is the ‘full version’,
– tradeshowesports.cn is the ‘lite version’ where number of elements have been modified, e.g. in one you see facebook icon but no twitter, in other one it’s vice versa
We assume that product uploads and subsequent translations take place under tradeshowesports.com
Question:
– Does your plugin help to keep the websites in sync after translating the site and new product uploads, meaning that the modified elements will still remain in place
Hello Marc,
Thanks for your mail. When you install WPML on your site, it will generate the new language version automatically, within the same wordpress install. It will not add the translated content itself but will generate the new pages, posts, etc automatically, ready to have the translated content added. You can choose what content to translate and what not. It will also let you configure the url per domain.
More info here https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/#language-url-format https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/
Hello.
I intrested your plugin.
I want to translate my page different languages, but i didn’t find any plugins which can translate my properties as well.
Can i do that with your plugin?
If i can, which version should i buy it?
You should be able to translate your Custom Posts Type ‘Properties’ with WPML, usually, that should be already working by default if not you might need to have a look at our beginners’ guide and follow some steps to enable that option. As for the WPML version – please purchase the Multilingual CMS one (complete version) since when having a site who uses extra data structured (like properties) you need some options that are available only with that version.
Good luck!
Hello Tamás,
The only difference between these versions is the number of sites where you can install WPML: the CMS allows up to 3 sites and the Agency unlimited.
I think i read about this feature somewhere, but can’t find it again.
I need to filter blog posts by language, so only English blog posts show for English, French for French users. I can get this to work for categories, but don’t want to use categories as they get added to the urls. Is there an option to filter blog posts, so English sits under ‘/news/blog-post’ and French under ‘/nouvelles/blog-post’?
Thanks
Hello Richard,
Usually there is nothing that you need to be done in order to filter posts per language and display them accordingly. However, if the user is using custom code, he should check that filters are allowed for his WP query:
‘suppress_filters’ => ‘fase’ https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/get_posts/
We want to add multiple languages to our website. Problem is that we don’t want to do this ourselfs.
Example:
A dealer from Germany decides he wants our website to also be in German. We say that is fine. Now we don’t want to translate ourselfs, we want that dealer to do this. But what we don’t want is that this dealer can change or delete plugins, posts, products, or change wordpress theme options.
The dealer is only allowed to translate, preferably he doesnt need to login to wordpress at all. If he does have to login to wordpress, we want him to only see WPML and nothing like plugins etc etc.
Hello Ralph,
yes, WPML will help here. You need to install the WPML Translation Management plugin which allows you to make any WordPress user a translator and then send only the content they need to translate. They can keep the privileges that they’ve had so far. So for example, if they are editors or authors won’t be able to to access plugins and other sections reserved for admins.
I need to create a website that has an overall corporate page let’s say xxx.com. This page only contains content that is relevant to the entire group.
Below the corporate page are the individual departments websites such as fr.xxx.com or uk.xxx.com. Each web page’s content is handled by the individual departments with content relevant to the country.
My question is whether it can be managed via one WP backend with WPML?

Hello,
yes, both languages are supported. https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/pre-configured-languages/
Great, thanks.

Hello Ryan,
when your use WPML and you would like to use machine translations (which can be later reviewed by a native speaker), you need to enable our ATE editor. Our ATE editor uses the Azure’s MT engine and here’s the list of languages it supports:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cognitive-services/translator/language-support
When I look at the Bengali language I cannot see the “Neural” option, which would indicate that you can use it for machine translations. So probably you won’t benefit from WPML if you need machine translations for Bengali.

Hello Ryan,
yes, Bangla is supported in our ATE translator. Please check this video to understand how it works:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/advanced-translation-editor/
Yes, everyone can request a refund within 30 days after purchasing WPML. You just need to fill out this form: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/

I want to build a 4 language blog on a theme built with WPBakery Page Builder. This will also have a product catalogue built using woocommerce.
I want to site content to be in 4 languages but the product catalogue in only one language throughout. Is that possible?
Which version of your product will you recommend for my needs?
Yes, that’s possible. You need to buy the CMS package.
You mean Multilingual CMS plan?
Could you point me in the direction of a tutorial to do the Woocommerce thing?
Yes, I mean the Multilingual CMS plan. The full documentation about using WPML with WooCommerce is here: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/ but in your case, if you don’t want to translate products but show the same version for other lanaguges, best would be to start in WPML settings similar to this screenshot: https://wpml.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/post-type-translation.jpg and choose the middle option (Translatable – use translation if available…) for Products.
Dear WPML,
i posted a questions about WPML today. Why is it deleted?
Your previous comment has been awaiting moderation. I’ve just replied.
Hi,
I need to know if these features support wpml. Thanks!
– The Issue theme from Fuelthemes
– WooEvents
Thanks!
Hello Laura,
We have tested a couple of themes from Fuelthemes, but not the one you mention https://wpml.org/developer/fuel-themes/
About WooEvents, do you mean this one https://codecanyon.net/item/wooevents-calendar-and-event-booking/15598178
We have not tested it either
They should work well, if they were coded following WordPress standard. In any case, you will be able to ask for help at our forum, if needed and we can also contact the author. You are welcome to try WPML and see how it works for you, you have until 30 days to try it and ask for a refund https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds-policy/.

Hi,
I need to create a website that has an overall corporate page let’s say xxx.com.
Thanks in advance
Henrik
Hello Henrik,
in WPML you can set the languages to appear as subdomains and have everything inside one WordPress but some extra work is required on your server. Please check this doc for details: https://wpml.org/tutorials/2016/04/use-wpml-different-domains-per-language/
Hi again
Thanks for the answer.
So with that setup i am able to create content only visible at example.com and then create content only visible for uk.example.com and other content only visible for us.example.com?
Yes, you can. But now I wonder why do you need WPML in this case (when the content will be different for each of your languages)
