Background of the issue:
I am trying to use automatic translations using translation management, but it breaks the formatting as you can see in the attached screenshot.

Symptoms:
The formatting is broken when using automatic translations.

Questions:
Why is the formatting breaking when using automatic translations?
How can I fix the formatting issues caused by automatic translations?

Hello there,

I followed the below steps and it helped me so can you check this to see if it helps:

- I edited the page translations in Advanced Translation Editor and disabled "I prefer bigger segments" and selected "Use the previous version of WPML editor" [Screenshot attached]

- I completed the translations afterwards

- I made a small change on the original language, I added test to the page title.

- Once the page is updated, I removed the change and reupdated the page

- Edited the translations and completed it.

Let me know if this helps. I will also pass this to our developers so they can check further.

Thanks

Well, it worked for this first paragraph, but not for the rest, as you can see in the screenshot for example.

So what to do next?

Also, is it a bug on your side, or we just can't use the newest ATE in the future also?

Hello there,

We already have this escalated to our developers and they are working on it, you can check this errata links:
+ https://wpml.org/errata/line-breaks-are-ignored-when-using-the-advanced-translation-edior/

To fix the issues with similar content, I suggest you to open the Advanced Translation Editor then go to edit the content, on the right hand side you will see unjoin button, click on it and complete the translations. [Screenshot attached]

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks
