Background of the issue:
I used the Translate everything function on my website to translate everything from English to Irish. Irish is the default language on the site. However, there were a few incorrect translations that I needed to change.
Here is a screenshot of the backend, the last item here is what I wanted to change the translation from "Leabhar anois" which is incorrect and means "Book" as in the physical item, as opposed to booking something which is correct here, I want it to say "Cur in airithe". hidden link
You can see the front end still says "Leabhar anois" which is incorrect. hidden link
Symptoms:
When I go to 'Edit translation' I can see the change has been made there but on the front end the changes have not been made. I have emptied the cache.
Questions:
Can you tell me what I can do to fix the issue where edits to translations are not showing on the front end?
I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
