Background of the issue:
I am experiencing issues on my live WPML site (hidden link) related to link translation in the content editor and automatic taxonomy translation. I want links and taxonomies to be correctly translated and displayed in all languages.
Symptoms:
Links in the content editor do not update to the relevant translated page when switching languages, and categories and taxonomies are not automatically translating their titles, slugs, and descriptions.
Questions:
How can I ensure that links in the content editor update to the relevant translated page?
What steps should I take to enable automatic translation of category and taxonomy titles, slugs, and descriptions?

Hi,
Could you please confirm whether the "Translate base slugs of custom post types and taxonomies" option is enabled in your WPML settings? You can find it under WPML → Settings, as shown in the screenshot below.
Also, regarding the product category labels, are the Singular, Plural, and Slug fields properly translated—or at least copied from the original? This is important due to a known WPML issue https://wpml.org/errata/product-category-links-do-not-use-translated-slugs/, where both singular and plural forms must be filled out for the slugs to function correctly.
Let me know if that’s what you were referring to, or if you're asking about something else.
Thank you for your response and for clarifying the settings to check. I have verified that the “Translate base slugs of custom post types and taxonomies” option is already enabled in our WPML settings.
Regarding the product category labels, the Singular, Plural, and Slug fields are indeed copied and filled out from the original as required according to the known WPML issue.
However, we are still facing the same issues as before. Let me provide more details for clarity:
1. Links in Content Editor
When adding links to specific pages within the content editor, the URLs do not update to the translated page when switching languages. The links remain in the original language, even though a translation for the linked page exists.
2. Category/Taxonomy Auto Translation
Categories and taxonomies are not automatically translating their titles, slugs, and descriptions. These remain in the original language and do not appear translated in other languages.
Our website is live at hidden link if you need to check the setup directly.
Please advise on how we can resolve these issues so that links and taxonomies are correctly translated and displayed across all languages. Let me know if you require any additional information or screenshots.

Regarding the URLs: Depending on how they're added to the site, they may or may not require translation. For example, Elementor buttons typically don’t need URL translation, but hardcoded URLs within text might.
Also, what setting do you currently have for taxonomy translation in WPML? If “Don’t show translated taxonomies in Translation Editor” is enabled, they won’t appear in the editor. Based on your screenshot, it looks like the taxonomies might be translated but these translations are possibly empty or deleted.
We followed all the instructions provided in the URL below to translate taxonomy terms: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-translate-all-taxonomy-terms-at-once/
However, we noticed that the Yoast SEO title and description are not being translated. Could you please advise if there's a solution for this?
Bruno is off for the next few days, so I'm taking this ticket. It's not clear from your last message, if you're still having issues with translating the taxonomies and the links. If so, please provde me with the following:
1. The URL of a page that contains an untranslated button/link;
