This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are unable to publish translations for old pages that were previously translated using WPML. These pages remain 'in progress' even though they show 100% completion.
Solution:
1. First, try saving the translation inside the WordPress Editor to see if this changes the status from 'in progress' to 'Completed'. This should allow you to open the WPML Translation Editor.
2. If the issue persists, take a backup of your site and then navigate to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting. Use the following options:
- Clear the Cache in WPML
For more details, visit WPML Troubleshooting Options.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML Support Forum.

Background of the issue:
I am currently working on translating my website using WPML. I managed to translate one page, and it has been published successfully. However, I’m unable to publish translations for the rest of the pages. We have used WPML in the past, and at that time, we removed the translations. Now that we are using WPML again, it seems that all the pages we previously translated can no longer be published. With new pages, there is no issue—they get translated and published without any problems.

Symptoms:
The old pages remain 'in progress,' even when they show 100% completion. I have already tried making changes to the pages and then going through the translation process again, but this hasn’t worked.

Questions:
Why can't I publish translations for the old pages that were previously translated?
What steps can I take to resolve the issue of old pages remaining 'in progress'?

Hello,

It might be that those are very old jobs that never got finished.

Could you please confirm if saving the translation inside the WordPress Editor solves the about "Jobs remain in progress"?

This should change the status to "Completed" and then you should be able to open the WPML Translation Editor.

Best regards
Andreas

I’m sorry for the late response.

Attached is a photo showing how it resets each time, as well as the editor I use for translating the texts.

I’m using Elementor as the web builder plugin.
