Background of the issue:
I'm trying to get the little pencil icon enabled. See explanation here: hidden link. I did a screen recording.

Symptoms:
The pencil icon (edit the other language) is disabled even if I have the rights. I expected to see the icon enabled, but instead, I got the icon disabled.

Questions:
Why is the pencil icon disabled even though I have the rights?
How can I enable the pencil icon?

Hello,

let me know how it goes once you have checked in minimal environment as suggested in chat.

Other than that, it depends on what user capabilities your role has, since for example ,translators can only translate translations assigned to them from WPML > Translation Management.

So you are expecting for translator role to be able to translate a post from backend, so in that case they would need almost all WPML capabilities as admin user plus do not forget to also include manage_translations

- hidden link

Let me know if that helps.

Drazen
