Background of the issue:
For many years I have been having performance problems with my website hidden link. My technicians tell me that the cause is WPML. It's even bringing the web down, and we have been experiencing many downtimes for several weeks. Due to these serious performance problems, we are considering making a new website.

Symptoms:
The website is experiencing serious performance issues and frequent downtimes.

Questions:
What would be the WPML recommendations for a new website to ensure it is fast?
Do you have an API?
Can you help with the initial configuration when I make the new website?
Do you think you can make the current website fast to avoid making a new website?

Hi,

Reference to our recent chat, please implement the followings and let me know your findings:

A) Install WPML String Translation plugin and recheck.

B) Further please try the following:

1) Take a full backup of your site and database before proceeding.
2) Deactivate all plugins except WPML.
3) Switch to a standard theme like 2024.
4) Check for the issue if it still happens.
5) Then start activating plugins one by one while keep checking for the issue. This way you 'll be able to pinpoint a conflict when & where it starts creating the problem.
6) If after activating all plugins you see that it still works fine, then switch to your theme and see if that's causing it.

Regards.
