Background of the issue:
I'm trying to send an article to memoQ for translation, but it's stuck in '100% progress'. Here's the communication log:

ces-to-visit-in-bali-top-landmarks-attractions-fun-activities/","translator_id":0,"note":"","source_language":"en","target_language":"zh-cn"},"accesskey":"UNDISCLOSED"} 02/14/2025 02:46:13 am - response - {"status":{"code":31,"message":"The job with given cms_id already exists in this batch","debug":""},"response":null} 02/14/2025 02:46:13 am - error - (31) The job with given cms_id already exists in this batch ... 02/14/2025 02:46:31 am - error - (12) Invalid state 'translating' to complete operation

Symptoms:
The article is stuck in '100% progress'. The logs indicate that the job with the given cms_id already exists in this batch, and there is an error with code 12: 'Invalid state 'translating' to complete operation'.

Questions:
Why is the article stuck in '100% progress'?
How can I resolve the error with code 12: 'Invalid state 'translating' to complete operation'?

Hello,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue.

Please visit WPML>>Translation Management>>Jobs and share a screenshot of the translation jobs that are stuck. We need the TP-ID of the translation job to investigate why they are stuck and what is status of it is on our side.

Just to make sure, have you consulted with memoQ support about this issue?

HI,

This is Ahmed Ibrahim from WPML integration team, and I will help you with your issue.

I have reviewed our TP system, which serves as the middleware between WPML and MemoQ. The system logs confirm that your batch was successfully sent to TP, processed correctly, and then forwarded to MemoQ.

Could you please check if the issue persists when you attempt to send some jobs again? Additionally, please verify in your MemoQ account whether the jobs have been received as expected. Let me know if you encounter any discrepancies so we can investigate further.

Best regards,
Ahmed Ibrahim.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, for now, I recommend you take a complete backup and try the latest version WPML 4.7. This version contains a lot of updates in the Translation Management dashboard. So please try it and let me know if it helps to fix the issue.

Best regards,
Ahmed Ibrahim.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. Yes, we are aware of this issue, and our development team is actively working on a fix. This issue occurs only when multiple languages are installed on your site. You can find more details here:
https://wpml.org/errata/errata-wpml-4-7-wordpress-database-error-too-many-tables/

As outlined in the document, the recommended workarounds are:

- Removing any unused languages from your site.
- Downgrading to an earlier WPML version (WPML 4.6.15, String Translation 3.2.18).

Regarding the logs you shared earlier, I noticed that some of your stuck batches include unsupported language pairs. For a language pair to be valid, it must first be added to your project configurations in MemoQ before submitting the batch.

The unsupported languages found in your logs are: "ro-ro, sl-si, uk-ua". Please ensure that these languages exist in your MemoQ project configurations. If they are present but use different language codes, kindly share the equivalent codes with me, and I will take care of the necessary mapping.

Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Best regards,
Ahmed Ibrahim.

Hello Everyone, Apologies for the very late response on this thread.

I have fixed the unused languages.

and when I try to send a translation this is how it looks now.

Does this mean it's already fixed?

This is the reponse
