WPML AI is never selected in auto-translate

Background of the issue:
I want to use WPML AI for my automated translations. Dutch is supported as of now, but when I add WPML AI as an option and I put it above DeepL, it still always uses DeepL instead of WPML AI.

Symptoms:
WPML AI is never selected in auto-translate. When I only select WPML AI and deselect DeepL, auto-translation doesn't do anything and all the fields are empty.

Questions:
Why is WPML AI not being used for translations even when it is selected above DeepL?
Why does auto-translation not work when only WPML AI is selected?
