Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where a URL parameter

xdomain_data

appears when switching to a different language on their website.
Solution:
We recommend first ensuring that you have read our documentation on passing session data between languages in domains: Passing session data between languages in domains.

If you decide to disable this feature, please follow these steps:
1. Navigate to WPML -> Languages.
2. Go to the Language URL Format section.
3. Find the 'Pass session arguments between domains through the language switcher' option.
4. Disable this option.
Please ensure to backup your website and database before making these changes.

If this solution doesn't look relevant to your issue, please feel free to open a new support ticket in our support forum.
