This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client wants to convert a post into a page using the Post Type Switcher plugin and is concerned about whether the translated post will also be converted and remain linked to the original language.
Solution:
We recommend creating a full website backup before proceeding. Although we have not directly worked with the Post Type Switcher plugin, we suggest referring to a similar topic discussed in our forum: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/changing-post-types-but-preserve-translations/. After backing up, test the conversion to see if the translated content remains linked to the original.

Hi

I created a post and translated it.

However, I now wish to convert that post into a page using the Post Type Switcher plugin.

My question is, when I do that, will the translated post also be converted and remain linked to the original language?

Thank you.

Regards
Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey.

To be honest, I never heard about this plugin but I was able to find this existing URL that I think you will find helpful:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/changing-post-types-but-preserve-translations/

My recommendation is to create a full website backup and then test things out to see if you can accomplish your goal.
