[Assigned] Hi, after reinstalling the plugin WPML I did an automatic translation of the site on Elementor from ...
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
WordPress 6.7 has introduced a new issue that impact translations, please update WooCommerce and WPML to the latest versions before you report issues. More about this here - https://wpml.org/errata/php-error-wp-6-7-notice-function-_load_textdomain_just_in_time-was-called/
Background of the issue:
Hi,
after reinstalling the plugin WPML I did an automatic translation of the site on Elementor from German to English.
All pages in English are missing. After browsing the forums I made changes to the pages and translated again. Only 2 pages managed to recover.
- Please backup the site files and database before providing us access.
- If you have a staging site where the problem can be reproduced, it is better to share access to the staging site.
Do you maybe have a staging site I can check this our further? I suspect that maybe one of the security plugins is blocking WPML; so translated content is not being fully saved. I would also like to disable plugins and switch themes, which is not safe on live website.
thanks I have checked and it seems it has nothing to do with WPML, you have set a template for your EN pages, and it uses the template "Elementor Single Page #5140", which is why it shows that kind of page (empty), while DE page is not using any template and shows page content.
I have changed template Elementor Single Page #5140 to DRAFT, so it us not applied anymore, and now it works fine.
Hi!
Thank you so much!
But still not understand why the empty template was attached to some pages in English.
Why it was not possible to translate some products into English, although the whole store page was running in English.
Have a nice evening!
