Hi, on our site, we have posts started in various languages: some started in dutch, others in english and most in spanish. When cchanging things, you need to do that first in the original language, and then change the translations.
Now, we do that by opening a page or post, and ifis does NOT say: you are working on a translation", we assume we are working on the original, but that is quite complicated. How can we easily see what is the original language of a post?

When you edit the translated page, you will see a "This is a translation of " field, which you won't see in the default language. (Kindly check the attached screenshot)
Yes, but that is very time consuming and needs at least one extra step every time.
Wouldn't it be way easier and faster if on the pages and posts pages it would directly be visible, for instance by showing a different symbol, apart from the +, the pen, the sprocket-wheel and the "update" symbol?
It would be easier, but unfortunately, there is no other option in the meantime. Most probably, the content is created in one language and translated into others, but creating the content in different languages is not very common.
The problem is that, when using Elementor, from the pages, or posts, page you directlly choose "edit con elementor", en there you dont get the message that you are working on a translation.
So you can make all kinds of changes that later are NOT transferred to the other languages.
An indication on the "pages" and "posts" pages is therefore very recommendable and i would like to suggest that as an official feuture request.
