[Escalated to 2nd Tier] The translated woocommerce product variant attribute is not showing
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Our wait time is higher than usual, please make sure you are meeting the minimum requirement - https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements before you report issues, and if you can take a look at current Known Issues - https://wpml.org/known-issues/. Thank you.
I am trying to:translate my English store into a French. The English version has the product attribute " size" that is translated in the Advanced Translation editor (see screenshot) but it remains in English when viewing the product in the store. This is not a cache issue as I have both clear WPML cache and my browser.
Link to a page where the issue can be seen:hidden link hidden link
I expected to see: the same as with product: hidden link
I can provide you with admin access to the site as I have already created a user for WPML.
For custom attributes you should use the WCML interface (see image) .
- Go to : Woocommerce > Woocommerce Multilingual > Products
- Choose the product and then update the custom attribute labels.
Hi, no it does not help. I showed you that when updating the product via the WPML Woocommerce multilingual tool you end up with the advanced translation editor and the attribute is correctly translated in it but on the product page it simply does not appear. Why don't you use the admin access I created and see for yourself. This I s urgent my site is about to go live in the coming days.

Yes - I know this. What I offered you back was more of a workaround to meet your objective.
However, to allow you to translate the labels as you need, you can still use the WCML product translation interface. Please note that the development team decides the order and priority of bug fixes. I will more-than-likely add your ticket as another instance of this known issue but I am not able to tell you when the bug will be fixed.
I´m opening the private area for you to provide a copy of your site.
Honestly the Advanced Translation editor is buggy as hell. Hot reassuring to see that the case you mentioned was reported in July last year and it is not yet resolved.
Because I cannot wait for an eventual fix that will only comes with the blue moon, I have disabled the advanced editor and corrected all my products manually. It took hours of extra work but now I have the proper text.
Your escalation team does not need a copy of my site. Any site will do.
I have added your ticket to the list and now I am marking this as "escalated with no copy".
I will also send along your feedback.
Kind regards.
