This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You created a new page in English and manually translated it into Japanese using WPML. Although the translation editor shows that the translation is complete, the translated page does not appear in the secondary language page list.
Solution:
First, check the status of the translated page in the language sidebar when you edit the page in original language. If necessary, update the page translation by modifying the original page slightly, save it, and then navigate to the WPML translation editor to complete the translation.
If the issue persists, follow these steps:
1. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except WPML.
2. Back up your database.
3. Navigate to WPML under Support → Troubleshooting and perform the following actions:
- Set the language information
- Clear the cache in WPML
- Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Fix the post type assignment for translations
If these steps do not resolve the issue, it might be due to outdated methods or specific circumstances not covered here. We recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
