This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client used WPML to auto-translate their website content from Serbian to English. While most pages were translated successfully, two specific pages and all blog posts only displayed titles in English. The content would only appear after manually entering 'edit translation' and clicking 'save & continue'.
Solution:
We recommend checking if any third-party blocks or widgets are used on the affected pages and making them compatible using the XML configuration. You can find detailed guidance on this process here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/
If a plugin is not compatible with WPML, consider avoiding its use or maintain the translations directly in the Block Editor, bypassing the WPML editor. More information on using different translation editors can be found here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I did auto translate of complete website content from Serbian to English using WPML. It went well, but I need some additional fixes. Some pages needed additional entering into 'edit translation', clicking 'save & continue' for the content on that page to be shown. I finished almost all pages which had this kind of problem.

Symptoms:
The two pages that I can't translate completely are: hidden link and hidden link. Also, all of the 107 blog posts/vesti are showing only the title on the English version. If I 'wake it up' by entering the 'edit translation of that post' and click 'save & continue', the content is shown.

Questions:
How can I automate or refresh all posts to show the complete already translated content?

Hi,

Regarding the issue where “many posts show only the title until you click Edit translation → Save & Continue,” it’s not yet clear what exactly is causing this. To identify the root cause, I’d need a local copy of your site to debug it in detail. You can provide a copy as described here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/displaying-untranslated-content-on-pages-in-secondary-languages/.

For now, the only effective workaround for empty translations is to re-save the affected posts using the Quick Edit option from the posts list page, as Noman previously suggested.

As for the second report, I re-translated one of your examples, and it now appears correctly translated: hidden link.

The only remaining Serbian text comes from the Visual Link Preview plugin block. This plugin is currently not certified or tested for compatibility with WPML.

Best regards,
Marcel

Hello Marcel,

Thanks a lot for additional info about my issue.

Let's say that first issue is resolved by manually resave the posts to fetch the translation, but second one and those 2 pages still remain.

Do you have any suggestion for me how to fix mixed translation on those 2 pages ?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Bojan

Hi Bojan,

could you please finish any ongoing translation first, make the change in the original post, and then complete the newly triggered translation? Does that work for you?

Best regards,
Marcel

Hey Marcel,

Unfortunatelly not working. The pages are made of combination of UX Blocks, Gutenberg blocks and Visual Preview Link plugin..

I suppose that is the problem for WPML to show the translations, even if they are present on the 'edit translation' page of those pages.

Is there any possibility to show the already translated content, or I need to rework those pages to use only one editor ?

Best,
Bojan

Hi Bojan,

if you have any third-party blocks or widgets, please try to make them compatible using the XML configuration documented here: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/

If a plugin is not yet compatible with WPML, it would be best to avoid using it or try to maintain the translation directly in the Block Editor without using the WPML editor: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/.

Best regards,
Marcel

Hey Marcel,

Thanks for the link, the only way I found the workaround is to follow this tut:
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/#create-different-designs-from-original

So duplicating the page and editing/inserting translations directly into WP editor did the job.
It takes time, but at least we don't need to change the structure of those pages.

Thanks again,
All the best
