Hi, Thank you for contacting WPML Support, I will be happy to help you today. Can you please tell me how are you translating the products? If you are using ATE you should be able to see the attributes on the editor (please check image attached). Can you share any link of the product page, to better understand how/where those attributes are shown? Kind regards, |

Yes you are right, I can see them if I open the product from the WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency, but I have a doubt. We did not use this tool to translate the products. We use to duplicate the page/ product from main language, then "translate it independently" and then use the page builder. So now, opening the product from WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency I can not see all my translation. And here the question. What if I translate only the variables and then I save them. Am I going to lose all the other translation? thank you |

Hi Lorenzo, Thank you for the update. 1) Is there any specific reason that you are that workflow in translating the products and not using the WCML? 2) To further troubleshoot the issue I set up a sandbox site where I would require you to try to reproduce the issue, link to sandbox below (one-click-login): hidden link Please on the sandbox: Please try to set up everything the same as on your website. This will help me understand better your workflow and the configuration you are using. Looking forward to your reply, |

Hello Marsel, We use WPML since it come out many years ago, and for us it is more quickly and easy to just duplicate the page and translate it from the builder. More important than that is that in this way, if the translated page is slightly different, we can have a different layout. I have translated some variables, and then saved into memory because I can not mark as completed. But on the front end the variables are still not translated. And another problem is that I have added a variable to the italian product, but I do not see it in the translated version. How can I update it? thanks |

Hi Lorenzo, Thank you for the update. To help me out in better understanding your situation please: 1) Is it possible to provide a temporary access to a staging site so I can further check. 2) As requested on my previous reply, if it is not possible to have access to a staging site, I would require you to try and set up a similar page/product on the sandbox site in order for me to properly understand and check what might be the problem. Please on the sandbox: I’ve set your next reply as private in case you have access details to share with me. Thank you for understanding. Looking forward to your reply, |

Hi Lorenzo, Thank you for the access, I was able to check your website (I just checked what was going on, since it was a production website and normally I didn't want to break anything). 1) Might not be related, but I noticed that you have a few plugins outdated and the WP update pending. I would suggest you procced with the updates at some point and please make sure you have a full backup before you do. 2) Also by checking on the WCML -> Products page, I noticed that the translation for the product you sent me(hidden link) it's not completed yet (please check attached image), when it's complete you should see a pencil icon instead of the orange gear icon. Please try completing the translation and then check if the translation is showing correctly or not. * If the issue persists after completing the translation, to further troubleshoot the issue I would require access to a staging site or a copy of your website which I can further test and escalate the further. Thank you for understanding, let me know how it goes. Marsel |

Hi Lorenzo, Thanks for the update. Since we can make any changes/tests on your website, to further troubleshoot this issue I would request a copy of it in order to test it locally and to further escalate the issue to the 2nd tier support team if needed. You can use the plugin Duplicator (https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/) to create a full backup and upload the copy to a file sharing services website like GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and send me the link. I've set your next reply as private in order for you to provide the link of the Duplicator package. Thank you, looking forward to your reply. |

Hi, Thank you for providing the staging site. I edited the product (hidden link) using the default WordPress editor and I noticed that the English translation needed update (the icon was showing the rotated arrows not a pencil). I clicked the icon and just updated the English version (without making any change), and after the attributes were showing correctly on the English version as well. Can you try adding a new testing product in Italian following the same steps that you normally do and see if the issue still happens, just a simple product with attributes don't worry about the layout? Is this issue happening only on this product or on other ones as well? * On the WPML notification I set the staging as a copy website. Looking forward to your reply, |

Hi, By the way the problem only occurs when variables are added to an already translated product. If it is a new product and the translation is done, the variables are all present. My doubt is that looking at the backend of the English variables I see that they are not assigned. See attachment. thanks |

Hi, Thanks for the update, that is strange as yesterday I just did a simple update on the English version and it synchronized, meanwhile today no matter what I do (tried updating, changing the settings for the field "attribute_frequenza" on the WPML-> Impostazioni ->Traduzione dei campi personalizzati but no change, it's showing the full list of "Frequenza" variations. (right now it shows as the images attached) * One thing I noticed today was that, when I updated the English product the page layout on frontend changed (the main banner was removed), I managed to recover it from the revisions of the product. To further troubleshoot it would be needed to test in a minimal setup (is that possible to do on the staging site?), steps to follow would be: - keep the theme you have This will help checking if the issue is being caused form any other plugin or its a compatibility issue. Looking forward to your reply, |

Hi, I was able to troubleshoot further, and I could set the attributes only by removing and adding them manually on the English version (I removed the two attributes that were showing "Qualsiasi Frequenza.." and I added them manually again). I would suggest you first try: After, check if the attributes in English are updated correctly. * Important: Please make sure you have a full backup of the site before making any change. ------ On the staging site only after I disabled all the plugins except the WPML and WCML ones and I updated the product page I was able to reset the attributes showing in English (they were showing all as on the image attached on my previous message). 1) Could you please tell me if there is any cache mechanism on the server? 2) I would need the copy of your website to test it locally and further escalate if needed. The Duplicator plugin should an option where you can exclude the any folder that might take too much space (ex. the "../wp-content/uploads"). Let me know if the test I suggested works for you and if is possible to get the website copy. Kind regards, |

If you delete the variations and make a new one, they are not syncornized anymore, because the variation IDs are different. It means that the "Quantity in stock" it will be separate. The duplicator is ready, but this is a public post. You have to send me a private post. Thanks |
