Background of the issue:
I am trying to resolve an issue with WooCommerce admin emails being sent in multiple languages. All my WPML plugins and other plugins are updated to their latest versions. I am looking for a solution to this problem.
Symptoms:
WooCommerce admin emails are being sent in multiple languages.
Questions:
Is there a new setting in the WooCommerce Multilingual that needs to be adjusted to fix the email language issue?
While one of my teammates addresses your ticket, I will provide you with some initial debugging steps.
First, please confirm that you are using the latest version of the WPML plugin, which is 4.7.2. If you're not, please update the WPML plugin and all associated add-ons to the latest version to benefit from new bug fixes and improvements. Although this may not directly resolve your issue, it is essential to work with the most recent code for optimal troubleshooting.
You can check for the latest released versions under "My Account -> Downloads" on this site. Instructions for updating can be found here: http://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/.
If you do not see the updates, you may need to click the "Check for Updates" button found in the Plugins → Add New Plugin → Commercial tab.
Please remember to back up your database before proceeding.
Hello Itamar,
Thank you for your reply. This is exactly what seems to be happening but we are not using Automate Woo, unless it is part of WooCommerce Bookings.
Please let us know what can be the fix ?
Much appreciated.
Gilbert
Is it the Booster for WooCommerce plugin you use that is in charge of sending those emails?
If so, please know that this plugin is not officially compatible with WPML, and I suspect this might be a compatibility issue. However in any case, we will do our best to help you with this problem.
Hello Itamar,
The Bosster plugin is used to add functions to WooCommerce but nothing regarding the sending of emails.
We started getting this issue as soon as we updated WPML to the latest version 4.7.2
Thank you for your help
Gilbert
Maybe it is a new problem with the WooCommerce Bookings and the latest versions of WPML that we have not spotted yet. We need to replicate this issue on a fresh WordPress installation. Then, I'll be able to escalate it to our compatibility team. For this, I created a test website with a clean WordPress install. You can access it through this link:

With this link, you'll be directly logged in.
I've already installed the WooCommerce + WooCommerce Bookings plugin and configured WPML to have English as the default language and Chinese (traditional) and Russian as the secondary languages, the same as on your site. I also installed the Email Log plugin to catch outgoing emails.
Can you please configure the WooCommerce Bookings the same way you do on your site and see if the problem occurs on the clean, fresh WordPress installation?
Please let us know when everything is finished, and you can replicate the problem.
Important! Do not import your site to the test site. We must replicate the problem on a fresh, clean WordPress installation.
Thanks,
Itamar.
Thank you for building the WP staging but I am afraid it won't be possible to replicate the issue as it won't have the same plugins, and it only happens once an order is completed and paid, which we can't recreate on the staging.
Would an Admin access to our live website be more helpful?
Let me know and I will create one for you.
Much appreciated
Gilbert
At this point, I'm trying to establish the source cause of the problem. The best proceedure is to isolate the case and determine if it is a new compatibility problem with the WooCommerce Bookings plugin. That must be tested on a fresh WordPress installation with only the required plugins.
On the sandbox site, I enabled the 'Cash on delivery' payment option, which will enable you to complete a purchase without paying.
Can you please proceed and see if you can replicate the problem on the sandbox site?
If the problem is not replicable on the sandbox site, the next step would be to check for a collision with a third-party plugin or the theme. But we can't check it on a live site.
Do you have a staging site where the same issue occurs?
Regards,
Itamar.
