Background of the issue:
I was deleting some old unused site keys in WPML today and accidentally deleted a production site key that I need active. I set up a new site key and when I try to add it to my production site I'm getting this repeated error that the key doesn't match.

Symptoms:
I'm getting this repeated error that the key doesn't match.

Questions:
How can I resolve the issue of the site key not matching after setting up a new one?
Is there a way to recover or reactivate the deleted production site key? If not, how can I add a site key to my production site so that it actually works? And why is WPML so difficult to use in this any so many other ways?

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

To resolve your issue, you must unregister your website and register it with a new site key. It should work fine. Here is a guide on how to unregister the website: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-remove-the-this-site-is-registered-on-wpml-org-as-a-development-site-notice/#what-if-the-notice-still-appears-after-moving-to-production.

Thank you but what you suggested is what I've already done. I accidentally removed a site and then added it back. I unregistered my site from WPML and am attempting to register it with the new site key. When I copy the site key and try to use it I'm getting an error that the key doesn't match.
