This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client needed assistance with translating the Elementor animated card widget and a dropdown menu widget on their website.
Solution: For the Elementor animated card widget, we identified that it originates from the Element Pack Pro plugin, which at the time was not up to date and not compatible with WPML. We suggested three potential solutions: 1. Update the plugin and check if it has become compatible with WPML. 2. Register the plugin shortcodes for translation manually, which requires custom programming. 3. Contact the plugin author to request them to make the elements translatable. 4. Use manual translation by editing the page directly with Elementor, bypassing the WPML translation editor. This method excludes the possibility of using automatic translation. We provided a documentation link for manual content editing: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/
Regarding the dropdown menu widget issue, we advised the client to open a separate support ticket as per our policy to handle one issue at a time.
Please note that the solution provided might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. If the issue persists, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly suggest checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please contact us through the WPML support forum.
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Please let me know if you are able to set the CSS fields to Copy in WPML -> Settings, or if you are able to manually translate using Elementor to set the product colors. If not, we will be happy to look further into this for you.
We don't offer paid support. Were. you able to locate the CSS field? If not, please let me know how the CSS was added, and I can take a look and may be able to help instruct you on next steps to copy the CSS over to the translation. If not, then I can recommend a WPML contractor that you could hire.
If you would like me to take a look, please share credentials in the next reply which i have marked as private, and you can use the private fields to send the info.
Hi, I didn´t write own CSS. The CSS is made in widgett (see printscreen). There I adjusted all things.
Share credentials mean to give you account password etc?
I am oaky with it. Just let me know what you mean.
Sorry I am not a native speaker and not familiar with WP and so on.
thank you
While my colleague is away I will help you with this ticket.
Yes if possible share the access details with us to take a look at the backend of the site to make sure everything is configured properly 🙂
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)
**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **
I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.
NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.
Hi there, I edited your previos reply becuase you had shared the login information in the general reply instead of in the private fields. Please be sure to only share private information in the specific fields so that it remains private.
Also, the link to login to your site sent me to a 403 Forbidden page. I have marked the next reply as private. Please double check the link and credentials, and I suggest you change the previous crednetials that were shared in the general reply.
When you reply in the next response, please be sure to use the correct fields for sharing credentials. once I have those I will login and take a look at the Elementor widgets you are having trouble with.
No, I do not have the credentials. I removed them from the previous reply and highly encourage you to change them since they were not private.
The link still sends me a forbidden error. I am in the USA. Please use the fields in the next reply which are marked as private to share updated credentials.
Now I get the error "Error: WPML username is not registered on this site. If you're not sure about your username, try your email address instead.". Please edit your previous post and update the credentials as needed so I can login. THanks!
These credentials are not working. Also, please stop posting credentials in the general reply field which is not private. These replies are open on the forum. I suggest you delete the previous credentials, create a new one that is safe and add them in the private fields of the next reply which I have marked as private.
THank you, I was finally able to login. I went to WPML -> Settings and in the custom field section, I clicked Show System Fields. I then typed CSS into the search, found the Elementor CSS was set to Not Translated, so I changed that to Copy and saved my changes. I now can see that the CSS seems to show for all languages: hidden link
Please let me know if you need any further assistance and I will be happy to help.
Thank you.
It looks how it should look like 😉 but the content is not translated - how do I translate it now?
I translated all the saved templates - autmatically and seems not worked out.
And also - there is a part on every product - that drop down widget, which is also not translated. Can you help me please how to translate? thank you hidden link
