I checked the English Homepage and can see that Most of the contents are showing in Italian. English Translation seems to be replaced by the default contents somehow and for that reason, the translations are not showing properly.
If you're manually translating the pages(Opening the page in a different language and adding contents in the respective language), could you please check and make sure that the pages are translated independently? Kindly check the documentation below to know more about that.
If you're using Classic translation editor, then please check if the English translations are placed properly there. Here are the steps to follow:
- Please open the default page/post in WordPress editor
- Make a small change in the title and save the changes
- After that, click on the Translation update icon on the language meta.
- When the editor opens, make sure that the English translations are added correctly there.
- 100% complete the translation and save them.

Based on the screenshot, it appears you're attempting to translate English content into Czech. Translations should typically be done from the default language to other desired languages. As your site's default language is Italian, please access the Italian page first, and then try translating it to Czech.

You're correct! But currently, the default language of your site is set to Italian. Thus, the translations should originate from Italian to other languages. Since English content is displayed during the translation, there might be another underlying issue causing this.
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated.

The homepage appears to have been initially established in English. However, the site's default language was later switched to Italian. Since the page was created in English, its source language remains English. As a result, you'll need to translate its English content into other languages.
Now, since you're using Classic Translation editor and the translated contents within the editor are being overwritten with the default content, this seems to align with a known issue we've previously identified. Kindly refer to the Errata provided below for more details.
Yesterday, we released an update with the solution for this issue. Please follow the steps mentioned below and I hope it will help.
- Take a full backup of the site.
- Please download the updated WPML(4.6.6) and String Translation(3.2.8) from WPML account(https://wpml.org/account/downloads/)
- Install and activate both on your site.
- After that, open the default homepage(English Homepage) in the WordPress editor and make a small change in the title.
- Save the changes and try to update the Czech translation.
- When the translation editor loads, please update the Czech content. Since the Czech homepage shows the contents properly, you can copy the contents from there and add them to the translation editor.
- Make sure to 100% complete the translation and save the translation.
After that, access the Czech homepage again to ensure all contents are showing properly.
