Hello!

We use WPML (with WPML SEO) and Yoast SEO Premium.

Question about the Yoast redirects:
- I can't see the language in the source or target URL
- how is Yoast managing the redirects if there is no language?
- if a have a 2 posts like this:
- /fr/my-post/
- /en/my-post/
but I want a redirect only in english, is it possible?
I suspect if I add the redirect /my-post/ to /my-post-2/,
it will do the redirection for both languages?

In general, if I want to add a redirect via WPSEO_Redirect, do I need to do it for every language or only in main language?

I think the question is more for WPML than for Yoast, that's why I contact you.

Thanks for clarification!

Hi there,

To be quite honest with you I am not familiar with this as it would fall under Yoast's knowledge on how their plugin handles the 301 redirects.

I believe you would need to set up a redirect separately per language as they have their own URL.

The best way to see the way this works would be to test it out, I have set up a sandbox for your convenience here:
