[Resolved] about [woocommerce_permalinks]product_base I cant translate it...
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
Product base slug translation not working Solution:
- Checking the product base translation in WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency > Store URLs
- Checking the product slug translation is also correct in WPML > Settings > Post Types Translation section > Product post type > Click on "Set different slugs in different languages for Products." > Save changes
- Go to Settings > Permalinks > Resave the permalink settings. Relevant Documentation: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/woocommerce-multilingual/#urls
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.
Please follow the troubleshooting steps below and see if it helps.
1. Increase the WP Memory Limit: While checking the debug info, I see that the WordPress Memory Limit is below the requirements. The minimum requirements are 128M, but we do recommend 256M and the debug information of your site shows it set to 40M. Please check this link for more details https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/.
You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file, right before the /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ line:
After adding the code you can confirm that the memory was changed correctly from WPML > Support > WordPress > Memory limit.
2. Enable a minimal environment:
- Deactivate all plugins except WPML, WooCommerce and their addons
- Switch to a standard theme of WordPress
3. Ensure the translation product slug is unique "urunler", you can try to change it to "urunler123" and resave the permalink settings and check this issue again.
❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.
I see the product base slug is translated into the Turkish language as well, please check this product URL hidden link
I also do not find a product with slug "ucgen-yufka-kesme-makinasi", it should be "ucgen-yufka-kesme-makineleri". Can you please recheck this?
What I've done on your site is:
- Checking the product base translation in WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency > Store URLs
- Checking the product slug translation is also correct in WPML > Settings > Post Types Translation section > Product post type > Click on "Set different slugs in different languages for Products." > Save changes
- Go to Settings > Permalinks > Resave the permalink settings.
